The service here is excellent. Fast, attentive and super friendly wait staff. Good starters, particularly the onion bhaji. Unfortunately my prawn bhuna was disappointingly bland. Based on my experience, most of the South Asian restaurants in the area seem geared towards a palette unaccustomed to spicy, flavourful food. Not very authentic.

Low to medium cost, good value lunch options. Very fresh. Very tasty. Good service. Nice decor with Indian artwork and artifacts. Been there 5-10 times.

We had always been dining at the Indian restaurant across the street.... but decided to try this place for a change..... and we are so glad that we did. The food here... at Star of India... is so much better! Very fragrantly seasoned and generous portions. Excellent service ....without having to wait a long time. This is our new Indian restaurant go-to place!

One of the best indian restaurants in the neighborhood. They do need to stop serving single use plastic bottled water though. There is no need for that.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Montréal! Kinda pricey but dude, you get SO MUCH FOOD D: It's totally worth the bucks! They are so generous with the amount of sheer veggies and meat and all the good stuff. I enjoyed every single time I went or got a delivery. The staff is sweet and attentionned. Go here, not the one on Saint-Catherine.

Came with couple of girlfriends one night and stayed few hours, people kept coming and coming. The place was packed. The service is excellent, and the food... the best Indian food in NDG hands down. We ordered couple of things and all shared. Everything was delicious!

Nice little place with decent food but not spicy at all they serve the Cobra (hometown beer) pretty good overall butter chicken super sweet I'll recommend this place and service was warm and fast

Delicious food, warm, cosy ambience. Lighting is on the dim side, so bring your reading glasses and flashlight. Service may be a wee on the slow side, but nothing worth complaining about.

My family and friends have been buying here for years, take-out and in house dining. We have had many family occasions and celebrated here! Execellent food, never disappoints, friendly respectful service and fair prices and portions!

Friendly service and great food. We had two young children along and it was very beginner Indian food friendly. The butter chicken was excellent as it often is, especially with the naan to sop up the extra sauce. The chicken Korma was sweet and savory without being too much for the little ones.
