My husband and I went to St Joe's Cafe last weekend for a quick bite on our way through town. The food, as expected, was fabulous. However, the staff was remarkably rude. They completely screwed up my order, and when I asked them to remake it they acted incredibly put out. While I waited for them to remake it, they had the nerve to stand there talking about me and judging my order "I don't know why someone would get egg whites on a biscuit anyway. Kind of defeats the purpose." And things like that. Would have come here again, but now I never will. If you don't care if you get what you ordered or if you don't mind a side of sass with your breakfast, this us a great place to stop. Otherwise - take your money somewhere else.

Very small and quaint coffee shop with a variety of classical sandwiches with a modern execution. Highly recommend for a nice ñunch

ONE OF THE BEST SANDWICHES I'VE EVER HAD. STILL THINK ABOUT IT WEEKS LATER.

One of my favorite places to grab breakfast or smoothies is Scarborough. Tends to get busy and is a tiny building, so think about calling ahead.

Always great coffee and food. Cook in kitchen needs to smile more! Aways seems grumpy. My score based on attitude drops to a 3.5.

Ony lost a star because they run out of gluten free bread. (A few times I went in). Salad was the other option and that is good the food is always good!

Great spot for coffee or breakfast! Delicious lattes made with care and generous sandwich portions. The biscuit sandwich is large and filling in a fantastic homemade biscuit. Just off the main drag too with plenty of parking and easy in/out.

An absolute gem of a cafe to grab a bite to eat. The breakfast sandwich options are truly impressive. I tried out the "Big Joe", which is a glorious beast of a breakfast sandwich, with a buttery biscuit for a bun, a hash brown, cheese, egg omelette with ham, and more. It's hard to put into words how tasty this was. I will be back for many more of these.

I'd really love to give a positive review because the sandwiches are really great. HOWEVER the staff are absolutely horrendous. They are the rudest, most miserable people I have ever come across. The tall skinny tweeker at the register is in disbelief if you ask a question. And the female grill worker studied under the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. Stay away.... Which I have trouble doing because their sandwiches are fire.

The food is absolutely amazing!!! It’s a small cozy place and can get crowded but that’s just because there food is awesome! I gave it a 4 because the girl at the counter is rude and seems like she hates her job. She has horrible costumer service skills and makes you feel rushed and like you are nuisance.

Best sandwiches and beignets in Maine. Not to be missed.

Ok, I’ve heard the staff wasn’t very friendly. That’s fine. I can handle that. But when you don’t greet me when I walk in AND serve me espresso that’s way too bitter, there’s a problem.

St. Joe's makes 'special' sandwiches with awesome flavor combinations, I assume a chef put together the recipes, and they have many tea and coffee options, smoothies, etc.
