Fantastic food. The fried mashed potatoes were amazing. The sides are big enough for two, so keep that in mind. The steak is fantastic. The pork porterhouse is amazing. The bacon was tremendous. Highly recommend.

Butchers steak was out of this world. Well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sides were also excellent especially the mashed potatoes and spinach. Everything came out of the kitchen piping hot and relatively fast for a party of six. Will be back this weekend for an anniversary!

Great steaks, great appetizers and sides. Overall the food quality was superb. The only comment I'd have would be related to waiting time, as it took us nearly 2h to get the steaks after we sat down and I found that a bit too much. Beyond that, great dinner experience

Best steak in Williamsburg. Sucks the line is always so long but definitely worth the wait

two days ago was the first time in this excellent restaurant. But It is surely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the great cooking and booze and with the decent charge. We will no doubt return there again.

In my opinion, the best steaks in town. Try the Tomahawk if you can handle it. The staff is a little snobby and tense. I’m not sure if they’re just aloof or if they’re being watched by a manager who’s ready to whip them. I wish they would relax and be confident in their food, because it’s absolutely delicious.

The butchers cut is probably the best valued steak for miles, and this is inclusive of the top spots throughout New York City l. I’ll even put it up against the Peter Lugers,Prime, Strip House, etc,. If you want to splurge go for the rib eye which comes in 45-60oz portions cow boy cut - like a hot knife through butter. The various sides I’ve had the opportunity to try certainly complemented the steak perfectly. I just keep going back for more and of the 10 or so times I’ve dined at St Anselm I’ve made it to the dessert round only once. Please note they do not take reservations however there are a many local bars in the area that you can kill the time prior to seating.

Questions & Answers

Nope. First come first serve.

When I went a couple months ago it was $4 per ounce, or just a few cents off of that. I split a 40 oz tomahawk with my wife and we paid about $160.

Yes

They can but the wait might be crazy. Went Thursday night this week for first time with a party of 4 and the wait was said to be 4HOURS so we left....

Yes there is. It's under sweets

We are open New Year’s day

Ew why would you want to?

Yes

It's a steak restaurant in Brooklyn - so expect to pay. They have steaks with no sides from $30-45. Sides are about $10 each. Great food though!
