Wow, a real Nippon restaurant tucked into a side street downtown. Next best thing to flying to Japan. Tasty dishes, great atmosphere. Patrons ranging from bikers to priests. It is wonderful!

This is a Japanese Standing Bar not a restaurant. They do serve "bites" to go with the drinks. You order a drink FIRST. Then you may order bites. Such a unique and grand experience in Kentucky!!!!

Fantastic experience! I love the concept in downtown Lexington where you're encouraged to interact with strangers over sake and snacks. The space is lovely and the owners chat you up with ease between playing and pouring. I'm looking forward to trying their Tuesday lunch specials and the umebashi. Hopefully I'll catch some onigiri when it makes it on the menu.
