Spyglass

Was excited to check this place out based on the vibe of the hotel and the description of the rooftop bar. Checked it out with a few friends on a weeknight after a late work night. Subjectively, the crowd wasn't really my scene. Beyond that, drinks were overpriced even for a Manhattan rooftop and the staff was disinterested at best. Plenty of better options, even in the area (The Strand and Rare rooftops in particular).

Nightmare! From the moment we walked in we were treated poorly. We were disrespected by staff members and management. Extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism. Bottom line, we will not be returning to this horrible establishment.

Be sure to reserve ahead of time. Gorgeous views of the skyline and Empire State Building!

Nice bar at the top floor with a nice view. Went there for a function and found the hors d'oeuvres surprisingly excellent. Bar has a very nice selection of single malts so I was also impressed with that. Interestingly all the mixed drinks come from bottles and cans. Nothing on tap.

My favourite fool top bar in NYC. You don't get better views of the beautiful empire state. And staff is just so charming.

Decided to book at the Spyglass for our special occasion. This place will not disappoint! The food, ambiance, patio view, and wait staff were amazing!!

Nothing special. Staff behind bar not very engaging and €17 cocktail just ok. View of the Empire State Building not great ... this rooftop has better view of water towers ( see pics) Not a place to go if in cocktail attire as most are very casual.... 80’s disco music playing.... very few seats and little room inside.

Nice bar to stop off for a drink and a rest from a busy day in the City. The bar area is rather small but comfortable with five bar stools; four window tables; and an outside standing area. There are also tables around the back of the bar but not good city views from here. Friendly service, and reasonable prices. Great vie oof the Empire State Building.

T'was my bf and I last night in New York, it was midnight, we were restless, and a guest at the Archer Hotel. So we thought it was a perfect time to check out Spyglass bar at the very top of our hotel. It was a little on the smaller side, but as always its just my bf and I so we like when it feels more secluded, not crazy much people. (But also, i do blieve they get busy, because when we left for a yankees game, there was a line to go up to spyglass at the entrance of the hotel) Spyglass was beautiful! Perfect view of Empire state building!!!

Wow wow wow. Such class and the views. Small bar but super nice. Have a reservation. It helps.

Space is quite small so it gets crowded quickly, but if you’re lucky enough to get a table, the view is sensational. Drinks are not bad, but quite pricey for the quality.

Nice view of the Empire State builging and good cocktails that are around $16 to $19. Reservation is not required on businesd days but it will be better if you could do one in order of not waiting too long to enter.
