Spread Bagelry

Great bagel place with an excellent menu. The bagel sandwiches are the perfect cure for an overnight shift or lasting hangover. The classic with lox is amazing, the club is well balanced with some apple, and the brisket is delicious. The service could be better. Definitely check them out for a hearty breakfast!

I feel sorry for those of you who have had negative experiences at Spread. It's easy to be deterred by the lines that often extend far beyond the counter, but honestly, the wait is worth it if you're not in a hurry. The bagels are fresh, and the cream cheese is TO DIE FOR! It's not often that I get the egg and cheese sandwiches (since they are slightly higher in price than a bagel with cream cheese, butter, PB&J or any combination of the above) but the eggs are delicious and I love to add green apple slices to an egg and cheese sandwich! The Club with turkey, cheese and apple is also quite yummy; though the most often I will get a toasted plain or sesame bagel with plain cream cheese or lox (smoked salmon) spread. The employees and the manager, in my experience, have been very friendly every time I've been there so I have no complaints on the customer service end. They also have La Colombe coffee, and while I'm not a coffee snob, it's one of my favorite kinds!

Wow, this place didn't disappoint. I had the whole wheat bagel with cream cheese. They bake them in a wood fired oven and spread Amish cream cheese on it. They give you plenty of cream cheese too. It wasn't tough or chewy, but soft. It was a great bagel. They were pretty busy in the morning, so plan accordingly. They also served sandwiches and alcoholic drinks. Try it, you should like it. The cost was $4.05.
