Great old time dinner feel with cheap prices and discounts for the old folks.

The place has good food, service too. However, the restaurant needs TLC. The carpet looks very old and dirty, among other things. Prices went up just like other places. Staff is wonderful 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Visiting my uncles and we've eaten here several times. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice and the service is excellent, the staff friendly. Very grateful for the friendly people who have served us here. THANK YOU! God bless.

Spires is a great local diner. The food is solidly good and the service warm and friendly. We come here as a family when we go out with grandma. It's an easy choice on a Sunday. No aggravating wait and plenty of parking!

Came here for lunch today to escape the bizarre 90-100+ heat wave here in the South Bay. Food was "okay" -- with the exception of the chocolate cake and vanilla ice-cream dessert shared by 3 of us. It was deelish -- a birthday party explosion in our mouth. Mmmm...

Ok, let get this out of the way. It's an old folks home, oops! I mean restaurant. Yea, its old, yea, the carpet is dinghy and has a long visual history of all the footsteps that have trend on it. But the service was ok (not fast, not overly friendly, but what you'd expect). The food was actually not bad*.. now about the asterisk. It was rather bland compared to your average diner type place, but that means it is healthier, less salty, less fatty, thus less tasty. But NOT bad tasting. We had the porkchops and they were thin, but tender and had a good flavor. The chicken gumbo soup was not a gumbo, but a cream of chicken, but it was good, the garlic toast was ok and the price was resonable. My dad was in the hospital and this place was close. My mom (85) felt right at home (granted old folks home, but home non-the-less). If your up for a very different dining experience and want something healthier than your average diner and don't mind the walk through a lot of history. Try it once, you might enjoy it more than you think. And say hi to the old folks, most like it when young folks (55 and under) take notice of them. Enjoy life, one day, if your lucky, you'll be where they are.

Very good! Went to Urth Cafe before coming here and their credit card machine was down. I ate here and the food is just as good and half the price!

Dining during Covid times has our family looking for restaurants that offer some type of outdoor seating. Spires offers about 7 tables right outside on their sidewalk. We were served by Blanca who was very attentive to all our needs. Our plates came quickly and the portions were big and tasty. Overall, good service and good food.

Decent place for breakfast if you're nearby. Food was good but not great. Portion size was about right for the price.
