Spark At Engine Company 12

If you like Caribbean dining, then you will love this place. The red snapper was cooked to perfection. I also highly recommend the candied kale. Finally, this is the only restaurant in the area that sells Diet Birch Beer. All the food is flavorful and unique. The atmosphere is open Industrial with a touch of History.

A bit chilly being a firehouse, but food was smoky flavored and amazing. Especially the vegetarian shitake mushrooms!

Best neighborhood place for a DELICIOUS meal and something different. I love going for happy hour and getting a meal of the jerk wings, the unmissable Double, and the pork sliders. The mystery rum of the day is always good. Just a great atmosphere, friendly service, and great cuisine.

The service is very personal... Comfort food with a modern twist and flavors. Try the rum punch. And I really dig the ambiance.

My husband's family is from Barbados and we've been searching for a restaurant like Spark for a minute. Everything we ordered was delicious - especially the mac&cheese, lacquered chicken, and mango chow - and well priced. Service overall was excellent and our server Leticia (sp?) was awesome - so friendly, made great recommendations, and helped us move inside as the weather turned. We can't wait to come back!!

Best place to have a party, baby shower or social event in DC

Not your generic firehouse pub, this place has a cool, traditional aura that makes use of its antique setting while serving mouth watering Caribbean dishes. If you're in the market for a quirky but impressive private event space, ask if you can get a quick tour of the second floor.

Everything about this place is amazing. Service is impeccable. Restaurant is beautiful. Peter and the kitchen staff are doing awesome things in the kitchen. Doubles give you a quick look into Trinidad cuisine.

First visit was a 4 star the second a 3. The pork belly was just all fat, to the point of being hard to eat. Excellent service bumps it back to 4.

I was upset that the old Engine 12 had disappeared until I tried the new cuisine... Incredible! Huge improvement, try everything. Very flavorful and well presented. Adding to the new menu, Tymothy was a great server. I was much impressed!

Spark has great food and amazing service! The place has great ambiance.
