They have a large menu, but their gyros are generally smaller and more expensive than Habibi's. While Souvlaki's gyros aren't bad in any way, Habibi's slightly tastes better and you can get a bigger gyro for half the price. Don't be turned away. Their food is still great nonetheless and it's a great late night option.

The heroes of Athens late nights. Great food with great variety. Be aware of a pesky card minimum though!

Friendly people and great service. The fries were great, but the gyro was not great.

Extremely friendly owners. My friend and I went in at 420 am once because we saw the sign said open and they served us even though it closed at 4. The food is always good.

This is THE best place for gyros in Athens! The owners are the nicest people. Always friendly, always something on the house. The food is great. If your drunk it’s even better.

Always good. But sometimes difficult to catch open. Have a backup plan. My favorite is the souvlaki, but they also do good gyros. I also like the spannikopita. I've never tried the American generic items on the menu, because that is not what I go there for. Sometimes messy to eat so not a good choice if you are dressed up.

in January through August 1982, I lived in Athens, attending grad school at OU. Esp. during the cold days of that period, in the middle of heavy snowfall, i would visit Souvlaki's. The lady who owned it then also cooked. I used to have fried breaded mushrooms and a sizzling hot coffee every time. I just loved the taste. I have not been there since. Glad to see you're still there. I don't remember the name of the lady who was there at that time. To me, she looked Greek. Very nice person.

Good food and super nice owners. If you're not a jerk they'll hook you up.
