Steel Smokin' Q Review:So there's no doubt that I'm a fan of the food and flavors associated with Southern National.Now that their BBQ concept has rolled out for mid-week lunch, I had to come give it a whirl. Just as I suspected, it's fantastic!I tried the tater tots (lightly fried to perfection), the pork taco (YAS!), and the 6-piece smoked wings-- all were divine and I was literally stuffed!As the icing on top, the lunch prices are perfect. When superb quality meets impressive value, I'm a happy woman!

My favorite restaurant in Mobile for dinner. Always incredible food and great drinks. You can't go wrong with Sunday brunch either.

Hard to know where to start. The location is quaint, the staff is top notch, the menu is innovative, the service is spot on, the bar has a great balance of wine, beer and cocktails and then there is the actual food. I could go on, but the best thing you can do is, when in Mobile, prepare to feel an overwhelming sense of regret if you don't have a meal at the Southern National.

1. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Feels like you are in a much bigger city than Mobile! Worth a trip for the ambiance alone.2. The cocktails are fabulous. I love trying new drinks and these are expertly crafted.3. The chef is always spot on with his dishes. I've loved everything I've tried, even foods I'm usually on a big fan of!Summary- Save up your money for a wonderfully tasty evening with someone special and go eat here!

OMG amazing!! The food was phenomenal, service was impeccable, and the ambiance was first class. A truly incredible dining experience.

Had a great visit for Sunday Brunch. Great ambiance, good food and excellent service. Will go back and try dinner. Had Chicken and waffle ( good ), shrimp and grits with trout ( good ) , eggs, bacon ( good). Overall good but not earth shattering. 5 of ate and it was $125 with tip. Will give it another shot as a brunch is not a good enough gauge to base my recommendation on.Don’t miss it! Great atmosphere, vibrant customer setting and the food is outstanding. Staff is extremely attentive.
