Bourbon braised chicken with brussel sprouts and dirty rice—chicken breast was slightly dry but the red meat was pretty good. Flavorful dirty rice. They’re very accommodating for dietary constraints since you can sub out sides for other sides. The cornbread and biscuits were amazing with the honey butter and jam they had.

Southern Kin is located in Assembly Square which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. Serves an eclectic mix of foods We tried the wings as an appetizer They were brined smokey hot with a touch of honey. Excellent. I had the Seafood mix which was basically there version of a pairs. Delicious loaded with fresh seafood. My friend had the southern chicken which also used the smokey honey approach. Everything was excellent. The service was good. Little pricey but worth it. Check it out.

The place was busy, but wait was not to bad. We grabbed chicken n Waffle, shrimp n Grits, fried chicken, bourbon chicken , turkey leg, steak n Egg poutine, and corn bread. All these items were delicious in their own way, but the turkey was over breaded. It was hard to eat. Service was great but it's a bit pricy here. Definitely, will be back.
