What a gem this place is! We went on wing Wednesday so I got the wing lunch special. I wasn’t crazy about the sauce flavors they had (teriyaki and Hennessy) but the owner offered to make them in buffalo sauce for me which was so awesome. Huge wings with so much tender meat on them, some of the best I’ve ever had. The lunch special comes with two sides and cornbread. The cornbread tasted like an amazing spiced cake. The mac and cheese side was to die for. Seriously some of the most comforting mac and cheese ever. The collard greens and black eyed peas were also great. I don’t think you can really go wrong with anything here. A lot of food for around $10. Parking can be scarce but the staff said you can park in the car place across the street. I was able to get a spot right out front. There are some window seats and a few tables inside if you want to eat there. Really wish I lived closer to this spot!

If you're on the fence and reading the reviews, stop wasting your time and just go!More people need to know about Soul Tasty!!! My wife and I had the fried chicken, smothered pork chops, mac and cheese, and collard greens and everything was FANTASTIC. I'll def be going back to try the rest of the menu. I was going to take a picture but it didn't last that long.

Love this place, fried chicken was my favorite. So full of flavor!! But the fried oreos is what really put the icing on the cake. I was in heaven! Too bad I live in NY or else I would be there everyday. Also service was excellent!!

Went in skeptical like any restaurant but I can honestly say the food was great. Mac and cheese is definately a hit. Ribs fall of the bone and tender, add their tasty sauce for a nice bbq kick. I will definately be back. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Will and Jean are the best!!!!!! Five stars well deserved

The mac and cheese on the other hand was to die for, it had just the right amount of cheese and just like the chicken cooked to perfection. With the top charred just enough to make you look around for your favorite aunt. The yams needed some attention they taste a tad bit out of the bland with some sugar and too much nutmeg sprinkled on top not necessarily cooked into the yams. The banana pudding is a good grab if you happen to see it in the fridge the go quick so grab them while you can, the staff was super friendly.

My daughter and I are regulars at Soul Tasty. The food is delicious and satisfying. The Black guy that works there is very friendly and I like when he serves us but the other guy who I think might be Hispanic has cheated me with the Price a couple of times. He also doesn't give us enough food for our money whenever he serves us. His Daughter who looks like Eliza from the animated cartoon, the "Thornberry's is very rude, snobby and has an attitude most of the time when we come to the restaurant. Other then that I like the food and would have given it 5 stars instead of 2. Believe me when you have anyone working there that has an attitude, it will affect your business.

Amazing food. Amazing service. The chopped bbq, the collared greens, and mac and cheese is delicious. The Henny wings are my favorite. The cornbread is well worth the calories. If you are in Stamford and lookin for quality soul food come here.

visited after a taping of a talk show. The food is delicious. The customer service was excellent. There was a group of 7 from Philly, Baltimore and NY. We had the BBQ wings which were large, tangy and tasty with Mac & cheese (very cheesey and creamy) and sweet potatoes (tasty), whiting fish (Seasoned to perfection and perfectly fried), green beans (flavourful), salmon which was made perfectly, seasoned, tender and juicy, shrimp and grits (plenty of grits, plump shrimp, pork chop (fried), French fries, BBQ ribs (tender, tangy and zesty), and dirty rice and shrimp like it came from New Orleans. The corn bread is moist, tasty and perfect with any meal. The prices are reasonable especially if you go during lunch hour for the lunch specials.All the employees checked on us several times and made sure we enjoyed our food. This is definitely a place that everyone needs to eat at

Awesome food, really hit the spot, and had a great group of guys staffing the place. Brought a friend from Scotland who had grits on his "American food bucket list" and he loved them! Will definitely get the new Nashville hot chicken next time since the sample they gave us was phenomenal!

Service was confusing. I ordered the shrimp and grits and paid for it. I had a bite of the grits, and realized there’s cheese in it. I’m sensitive to lactose so when asked if everything was alright I mentioned it. One of the employees offered to make me something else and I said I felt bad asking that of them. He asked a second time so I asked for fried chicken, wasn’t that great to my taste but that’s just one man’s opinion. What confused me is I was charged for the fried chicken as well. I should’ve asked about it right there but didn’t want to come off as the Grinch on Christmas’ Eve. Not happy about being charged $12 for one bite of grits. Maybe it wasn’t the intention, I did pay for the chicken by card. Hope I can get this resolved.

I took my family here to enjoy some good ole soul food. It was our first time there and we were not disappointed. The service was great and welcoming, the food was also great! My girls woke up this morning asking to go back again!😁

This place was amazing. It had the best food and the staff was very nice. I really liked watching chopped and seeing the chef there and getting to be at his amazing restaurant. This food was the best comfort food I have ever ever ever had.
