SOTTO SOTTO Ristorante

Delicious food! I loved the antipasto gordonia. The grilled tiger shrimp were fantastic. The atmosphere was more on the upscale side. My only issue was that there really isn’t any parking nearby so you basically have to use the valet parking. Other than this, everything was great.

Excellent service, but the food fell short of expectations. We ordered the soup of the day (zucchini cream), pappardelle pasta (with mushroom), veal, the pasta of the day (gnocchi in lamb ragu), and the creme caramel for dessert. The soup came a bit cold and had an unexpected seafood aftertaste. The pappardelle pasta was probably the best main course meal, but still not as good as other pasta in the city (piano piano, annabelle, amano, etc.). The gnocchi itself was great, but the lamb ragu was more acidic/sour side and the lamb was not the star of the dish. The veal was nicely charred, but i would rather order a different meat item (maybe steak or lamb next time?). The dessert was fabulous. I would consider trying the risotto and the cannoli should i return in the future. I think most of the hype is around the location and the celebrity pictures. It really proved that not everything that costs more is actually better (in terms of flavour, texture, etc.).

Food was okay. I strongly believe just about everything but the Risotto is reheated then served... the meat balls tasted bland, the octopus was tasty but felt like that too was reheated/ microwaved... the grilled vegetables and seafood for the Antipasto was probably reheated/ microwaved... The good?... the Seafood Risotto was by far some of the best risotto I've ever had! Basically the one thing one must try when dining here.

Oh amazing italian food, all our dishes were super tasty. From the pasta to their special slow cooked meat which i believe was lamb on the bone (not sure). Tiramisu is perfect and the Burrata salad was so good.. Will definitely go back

service is unbelievable and food is SPECTACULAR. The ambiance is beautiful and has a home like feel to it. Absolutely stunning!

Very cosy and cool place. Italian foods is excellent and service is great. Not very expensive. Great location in the heart of Toronto, Yorkville. Frequented by movie stars when they film in Toronto.

Amazing food! One of the best restaurants in Toronto

Came here because we visited the restaurant in Bath. Have to say that Bath was better. The food is very decently priced but the bottles of wine start at $60. The waitress was very helpful with getting me a vegan meal, but did remind me that the tip wasn't included in the bill which took me aback a little. Overall, very good night.

I don’t know if I liked the place or not! The ambiance is great, it’s cozy yet elegant. The food is good, high quality local ingredients but nothing extraordinary. Amazing selection of wines. Now the hardest part!.. our waiter, he was sweet and friendly but his ignorance was dissappointing. He couldn’t tell the difference between goose liver and mushroom, and also asiago from parmigiano. The money we paid was too high depending on the food we had.

The grilled octopus is a must try and their classic mushroom risotto is my fav.

Sotto Sotto never disappoints. Great food, great service. Will always recommend to friends and family. One of the best restaurants in the city of Toronto.

Fantastic spot for dinner. The ingredients are high quality and expertly prepared, the servers are knowledgeable and welcoming. If we had Michelin stars in this city, Sotto Sotto would surely have a couple.

The house add spinach and ricotta ravioli is good but portion-wise is more like an appetizer. The spaghetti alla carbonara was delicious, slightly a bit too salty though. The chocoate molten lava cake was my fave with the warm chooclate liquid oozing out when I cut my spoon into it. Friendly waitstaff and food came out at a reasonable pace.

As always an excellent meal and service - Emily was great. Sardine appetizers are very good. Orata like and flakey as it should be.

great selection of food but it was over-priced. The quality was ok but feel if you charge those prices you should get more bang for your buck.
