Named for Queen Sophia Charlotte, Sophia's offers a royally outfitted setting in the heart of Uptown on 5th Street in The Ivey's Hotel. In this space, opulence meets a vintage touch and vibrant European flair. Guests can sip on craft cocktails while snacking on shareable plates by Top Chef alum Jamie Lynch. Relax at the custom-built wraparound bar or recline in one of the many intimate corners, filled with high-backed chairs and velvet sofas. Art adorns the walls under the glittering custom chandeliers along with the glow of candlelight. A truly luxurious lounge, we are sure our patrons will agree that it is the first in of its kind in Charlotte. Operated and managed by Patrick Whalen, Alejandro Torio, and Chef Jamie Lynch of 5Church.

Great atmosphere! Staff is friendly and attentive. Ambiance is relaxed and chill while remaining upscale. It’s the perfect place to have a cocktail or glass of wine (their list is amazing ) with someone as well as enjoy an intimate conversation without struggling to hear each other. The spot is central to pretty much everything too so perfect for every occasion. Food of course is equally impressive and we will definitely be returning as often as we can !
