If you like wine and friendly service, this is your place! We went on a Tuesday at 5 and got to chat with the owners. They gave us personalized recommendations and we lived every wine we tried. The cheese plate was heavenly. There's no other place like this in Old Town - a must for wine lovers!

Visited from Indiana and found this gem while walking through Old Alexandria. A family owned wine bar with a clean and inviting atmosphere. Offers a wide selection of wines and also food options as well. Prompt service with both indoor and outdoor seating available! Would definitely recommend for wine enthusiast exploring the area!

Quaint place. Great atmosphere and wine selection if that's what you're into. I had some green tea and the wife had red wine. Additionally, she had the fish tacos and I the veggie quesadillas. Nothing to write home about but it was good. Customer service was pretty good too. Have fun!

Great date night or ladies night spot in the evening. Happened to go on the night of a wine tasting and enjoyed all of it. The restaurant was very clean and everyone was very welcoming and hospitable. They have an extensive food menu. The tuna, Mac and cheese and artichoke dip were great. Would definitely go back for another date night.

Cozy wine bar with a good selection and great location. Pricey, but the 3-oz pours make it easier to try a few different options.

This place was exactly what I wanted. I was going to dinner with a small group of friends to celebrate my birthday. I wanted a quiet place with good food where we could actually hear each other talk. We ended up with a room to ourselves (Monday night, I guess), had a variety of entrees that we were all pleased with, and excellent service. I would definitely recommend this place and go again.

Sonoma Cellars, service was excellent, very quaint wind protected outside seating, food was very good, with unique flavors, and alternate options! Our fourth visit, we will return. Oh, great wine selection too!

One of my favorite hang out spots in Old Town, especially during the warmer months. I can't say enough wonderful things about the owners! Great staff, delicious food, laid back atmosphere. Top notch establishment!

Came here for restaurant week on a Saturday night! we are promptly greeted and taken to our table in the upstairs dining room area which is a little bit more intimate than the bar area downstairs which seems to have live music on the weekends. Great one selection and even a few beer options as well. All of the items that we selected were fantastic, portion size was smaller than expected however very flavorful. I had the salmon for the main course which was cooked to perfection. Service was attentive as well. We'll be back for some bar snacks down the road!

Sonoma Cellar was amazing! I didn't go inside, but the courtyard had seating, with stringed lights, trees and other plants. They allowed my dog and brought him water. The food and wine was great. Our waiter (Bouziane) was excellent! The service was attentive, but not overbearing. I'd definitely return sometime soon.

Went for the wine book club event and was very impressed! The group of people were so welcoming and fun to a newcomer. Our host, the owner, was extremely well versed in wines and we learned a lot in a short evening. Great conversation, great company, and great service. I highly recommend and look forward to returning to Sonoma Cellar for another event!

Small but very nice, great service and a nice little patio out back. Serve wine and beers along with light fare for eats while you drink. Great location near the bottom of King Street. Pretty small and a bit tight when busy but nice spot for a glass of wine.
