Very good. Had chicken fried chicken with lots of cream gravy. So yummy. We also got chicken fried bacon and fried mushrooms. Can't beat the chicken fried bacon. My husband and son got the best chicken fried steak. A small is huge. Great fast service too.

Love how supportive of first responders this place is. Has great food for an AMAZING price! Never disappointed when I go.

Nothing fancy, just good steak and good service. I just learned that this restaurant is known for their huge servings of steak. Their extra small is 16oz so hubby and I decided to split a small one which was probably a 18-20. oz. We also ordered Onion Ring which came out really good. We definitely will go back if we happen to be in the area again.

Small quiet and full of flavor great portions for the $

Small and friendly, the waiting staff are hilarious and the food is good. 1 of 2 Resteraunts in a pretty small town so it can be busy during lunch and dinner but nothing terrible. Lunch special is cheap good, and always the same plate and same price.

This restaurant lived up to every bit of the reputation and history. It has been mentioned on different food shows over the years. The food was outstanding made from scratch and came out fast and hot. The staff were all warm & welcoming with great customer service. The chicken fried steak was spot on and very filling. To begin the meal started off with there signature Chicken Fried Bacon which hands down was the best i have ever had and the cream gravy to dip it in was perfect as well. I definitely will be back for years to come and can't wait to have a steak on the next trip which are highly recommended. This is a definite no brainer restaurant that all foodies must hit when passing through the College Station Texas area to nock off your bucket list.

We shared the sirloin for 2 plate. Was cooked to perfection and with the 2 side was way more than we could finish. Love this place! Great food and service. Decor is fireman t shirts from Texas and beyond, dedicated to our First Responders.

This is a popular restaurant amongst the Aggies. I’ve taken my parents and then my relatives there at another time. They all enjoyed it. We like how they use the mason jars for drinks. The lemonade is really good. We tried the chicken fried bacon and it’s delicious. We’ve ordered other items there too and the portions are large. They have a great steak special too.

Absolutely amazing. I bring friends here all the time, and it's always just wonderful food. Try the chicken fried bacon! It's honestly just incredible.Be warned that their extra-small sirloin is 16 oz, and the sizes only go up from there. I think the small is 22-24 oz.They're good cuts of meat, according to my taste buds and my animal science friends. Good, cheap, and delicious. What more can you ask for? (Except for a to-go box)

Always great food and service. Steaks are always cooked perfectly. Chicken fried steak is great if you're not up for a steak. And of course the deep fried bacon is the bomb.

Love the Chicken Fried Steak the Best. I miss the one where we use to live. They went out of business. I cried. If I had the money, I would invite people in that are in need of a hot meal and Bless them with a meal.

Great place for steaks, burgers, etc.. Quiet country restaurant that gets a lot of business! Really popular for their Chicken Fried Bacon!!! That's right the chicken fried bacon is amazing, who would have thought!!! You get several pieces of bacon that are chicken fried served with a nice bowl of cream gravy for dipping! It makes a really great appetizer!! We ordered their chicken Fried steaks with mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese for the sides for our lunch and weren't disappointed! It's not very far from Texas A&M and is a very popular spot for Fire Fighters from around the state that come to train at the A&M fire academy. There are banners and patches adorning the walls from Fire Department's all over the state!
