Great experience watching the chef making your soba freshly in front of you. Serves only 20 customers at lunch daily, so arrive well before 11:30am to ensure you get a seat!

We went for dinner and it was well worth it . Rakuichi is famous for its soba but it’s not just about the soba. The omakase menu ranges from sashimi, shabu-shabu, to tempura and each of the dish is really good. I have been to this place more than 3 times and it’s always a memorable experience. Reservation opens 3 months in advance so better book early. The place is quite far from grand hirafu main area but the drive is scenic.

Everything about the meal itself was delicious for lunch. Not filling enough for me but my wife loved it. If your in niseko it's delicious but I don't think I would recommend people to drive there just for the soba.

It was the most amazing experience to watch Tatsuru Rai knead mix and cut up the most delicious soba i have ever had. His wife Midori was elegantly dressed in kimono and ever so lovely.We got very lucky to manage to get a seating for lunch since dinner is booked out for the entire winter+spring season. Culinary art.

If you are looking for real traditional home cook food(best soba in the world), hunt for this cute like house in the woods....super lovely couple, they cook themselves ..with love, thats why it taste SO SPECIAL...CHEERS

Midori San and Emily San were extremely accommodating and jovial, we had an amazing time speaking with them and they made the entire experience so memorable. Definitely worthwhile!

Life changing soba in a warm and zen atmosphere. All the ingredients were really fresh. But do go early!

Best Soba but you have to call in advance to check if their open. Plus they only serve 20 to 30 orders of Soba per day.

It worth it to try !! Only accepted 20 guests during lunch time Suggest arrive around 10:50-11AM to quite during weekday, May be a bit earlier during weekend ! Duck soup Cold soba is my favorite and the Kunimare Hokkaido sake is perfect with the cold soba ! 👍👍👍
