Fantastic little establishment to stop for a bite to eat. Very friendly staff, huge selection of menu items. Real home made corn beef hash. Would highly recommend and would return. Clean restrooms available to patrons.

We stopped by for breakfast. The pancakes were fantastic, fluffy and flavorful. The omlettes were a little on the expensive side, but they were huge. The corn bread was quite tasty too.

The brisket was overcooked and dry. Actually looked like it had shrunk from being overcooked. The pulled pork smelled like the meat went bad. My wife agreed. It was definitely off. The meat was covered in sauce. I like to add sauce but also like to eat some of it dry. The meat should speak for itself. Seemed like it was smothered in sauce to cover up bad and overcooked meat.It's too bad. We skipped restaurants in Reno and Truckee just to stop here. The gal that took our order was great. The sides were fine. I ate most of my wings and left the brisket and pulled pork on the plate. Wouldn't even bring those items home to the dogs. Was really looking forward to this place and what should have been the highlight at a bbq restaurant was terrible.

Friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices. Can't ask for much more.

Food tasted good, but got food poison from my visit. You should be fine if you don't eat the fruit

Cute restaurant, expansive bar. Lots of seating. We found the service to be friendly but the meat to be just a bit too dry for our liking. Rates as decent BBQ, missing that smokey flavor that you'd expect. Unfortunate for a restaurant called 'Smokey's'. Still worth a try (or two).

Great food, prices are very reasonable. Order at the counter, get your own coffee and the joila delicious food and plenty of it shows up.

When we stay in the area, Smokey's is almost a staple. The breakfasts are quite solid, and I'm a fan of their chicken fried steak. The staff is also friendly, and don't harass you if you dawdle to take advantage of their free WiFi.

We love coming here for dinner. There is a little chest of books and toys for the kids (definitely family friendly). Good food, good portions, friendly staff...what more could you want??

Every year we visit Lake Tahoe we drive to Truckee just for the AWESOME "Cowboy Beans" side dish. Whatever meal you order make sure you get the beans!
