Amazing food spot! I got the pancake set with a cafe latte and everything was absolutely delicious. The sets are usually cheaper than getting individual items, so I recommend you get the set for 1200Â¥! They've got other sets, such as French Toast, Toast, and others.

One of the best places to have breakfast in kyoto, lovely french toast and strong coffee. Its a bit crowded esp in the morning but you get seat fast. Definitely a must!

French Toast was god tier, Dinged a star for the line outside which was only 5-10 minutes. Overall the best French toast I’ve ever had!

Great coffee, excellent sandwiches. A great example of the classic Japanese style cafe.Would like to come visit for lunch next time. Beware the line ups, which are well deserved in my opinion.

This restaurant is located right in the middle of the busy shopping district in Kyoto. We came here for brekkie and ordered two french toast sets (with coffee). As the other reviewers noted, the French toast here is excellent; crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The coffees we ordered however were quite weak compared to the ones back in Australia, which seems to be the norm in Japan. They were more than accommodating to make it a double shot. Prices a little on the steep end, however on the whole was very satisfying and would do again.

Coffee is great there. I believe they roast their own beans there. Get the French Toast if you go there for breakfast. The hot cakes are pretty good too. Very thick and fairly cakey. These are not souffle pancakes so do not be disappointed they aren't light and fluffy. These are hotcakes!Be prepared to line up. It's very popular with tourists and locals alike.

Best french toast I've ever had. Really good freshly roasted and freshly ground coffee. High end coffee shop with with food and drink served on fine china. A little pricey but not terrible. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

A cozy restaurant with ground floor and 2nd floor. French toasts and egg/ham sandwiches are the most popular order, however don't forget to take the original blended coffee. Very comfortable environment that you can spend a morning or afternoon there with your friends.

I like that the French toast is very soft. House pudding is tasty too! Be aware that the ham sandwich has wasabi sauce in it.

Best French toast I've ever had in life. The coffee is so-so. The interiors brings you back to Showa era. Very quiet and serene, except for 2 Americans talking loudly.

Rarely do I have my coffee in fine china. Had the French toast. Nice. Pancakes were a bit heavy and dry. Overall a nice change from a fish breakfast.

Decent spot for coffee and the coffee actually isn't bad. Very quiet and stuffy though which was odd and surprising. We sat in the 2nd floor and basically whispered to each other over our coffees. Staff is nice.

Food and drinks were great, old fasion vibes, however, it seems that smoking is allowed inside so take that into consideration.

Wonderful aromas and such a chilled European type vibe. The sandwiches and toasties were good and the service great. Perfect place for an early breakfast before beginning your day touring day. Make sure to arrive early to get seats, we had to wait to get a table. Not too sure if you can reserve seats the day before or not - but you should if you can. If not, the wait is not long because the service is quick! Payment at the door before you leave.

Had the smart coffee and French toast for breakfast. French toast was really light and fluffy. I wish I could have added some fruit to it. Coffee was smooth and delicious!
