At Slurping Turtle, a warm greeting and friendly smile are served alongside every meal! Since 2014, the residents of Ann Arbor have enjoyed our home-cooked Japanese goodness. Slurping Turtle serves a variety of Japanese comfort food options including ramen, sashimi, maki rolls, and tapas. After trying one of our tasty entrees, finish off with one of our delicious dessert options! We offer ice cream, sorbets, and a selection of delicious cream puffs! The founder of Slurping Turtle, Chef Takashi Yagihashi, is a celebrity chef that has appeared on the television show Top Chef Masters, where he participated in seven rounds. Chef Takashi strives to recreate his childhood culinary experiences in Japan. His mission is to capture the essence of Japanese comfort food, where he takes Japanese street food -- ramen, tapas, sushi -- and puts a different spin on them. Had an amazing experience, the food was incredibly delicious and the service was wonderful. Our server made sure to help with some dietary restrictions we had and made some great recommendations. One of the best Ramen locations I've ever been to.

Miso soup

Honestly the place is a bit casual for a reservation of four. If you don't have a lot of people, and you're going on a weekday where there aren't peak hours, you can just walk in.

They have a Kinoko Mochi which they advertise as vegetarian and gluten free. Otherwise, I'm not sure what else they offer that is gluten free...

There is street parking outside and parking garages within walking distance.

Maynard lot or Liberty Square Plaza are both super close.
