Sluggo's North Vegetarian Cafe

my one stop in Chattanooga. tired and hungry on a road trip and found this cool little place. it didn't disappoint. great healthy food and friendly staff

I've never been disappointed by anything I've ate here. Everything is delicious and they have such a large selection.

We were in Chattanooga tonight and a friend recommended Sluggo's. We're not vegetarian or vegan, however, we enjoy eating healthy. This food is best described as vegan southern comfort food and it's on point. This food is so good that if you put a plate of it on your head your tounge would black both of your eyes trying to get to it.

This is one of my frequent places to visit. The food is always good and the unique vibe of the place is great

Seriously amazing food! None of us have had sandwiches like that in a long time! We were also amazed at the amount of food that they give you for such a low price?! We had an awesome experience here and you wont regret going! We will always stop here if we are in the area again!

Service was great, food was amazing but the cleanliness in the restroom was an issue. I expect a restaurants kitchen and bathrooms to be clean. I would go back reluctantly only because there are not a lot of Vegetarian/ vegan only options in chattanooga

Really high quality food. We were here for a long weekend and this was hands down the best place we ate.

The food at this place is some of the best I have ever had. Wether, you are vegan, vegetarian, or non vegetarian you will love this food. I had the vegan philly cheese stake and it was mouthwatering and their mashed potatoes are some of the best I have ever had. Service is also great. MUST GO HERE😄😄😄

Mmmmmmmm is the best explanation. We stop here on out way to Nashville every time we drive north. They have a variety of foods. There are also plenty of gluten free options.

Our party of five comprised of omnivores was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Good friends in Knoxville recommended Sluggo’s. While a bit of a hole in the wall, I prefer to label the environment as laid back. The staff was amazingly helpful. This is an order at the counter and food will be brought to your table establishment. My wife, who was a vegetarian for 12 years was absolutely delighted. By the way, the patrons there are pretty cool.

Even though this was a first time experience, it was an amazing dinner Not only was the staff very informative and took the time to explain in great detail what everything was and how it was prepared, they also were very helpful with helping me and my 70 year old Southern Mom decide on our dinner. We chose the vegetable plate, with black beans, sweet potato mash and salad. (Mom went for collard greens instead of sweet potatoes) EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! My mother even was delighted with the collard greens and was very impressed at how delicious they were without what she is accustomed to them being seasoned with (pork). We both would very much recommend Sluggo's! Even if you aren't vegan, this is a great little place to eat and you won't be disappointed 😉.

Thai bowl is terrific. Highly recommend this plate and this place to anyone trying to be vegan or veggie. It's a bit hippie dippy, but I kind of expected that given the clientele

This is a vegan restaurant with options. They have a variety of choices, from nachos (delicious) to stuffing and country fried "steak" (also delicious). It's good food that's worth the trip and money.

I'm going to add to all the positive reviews of this place out there. I"d been a few years since I'd gone there but it's still the same place worth frequenting. On July 4th, I ordered the tofu sandwich on a sesame seed bun and boy was it delicious! Took home a "beef"and mushroom stew. Great stuff. I also love to see they don't microwave stuff which makes it taste so good and natural. The staff and service are friendly. It might seem a little slow getting you the food but they're only making sure it's done right. The wait will be worth it. I don"t drink but for those who do, they have craft beers available if you're into those. A couple of those on tap too! This is an already lengthy post so I want to close with saying that the place is clean. Has always been every time I go there. The view of downtown Chattanooga if you're seated in the back balcony is great. Check it out. You'll want to come back over and over.
