Good food and good live music on Wed nights

Took over 45 minutes to get out hookah and when we got it, it was barely producing any smoke and they use quick-light coals.

Fun place right in the heart of downtown. The hookah here is really good!

Downtown dive bar gem. Wonderful food and an exemplary dirty Durham space. Please just fix the damn draft beer thing.

I'd known about Skewers for years, but a friend suggested it during a recent outing, and it was lovely. Great people there, very friendly. It's not the 'most shiny' crayon in the box, but it's a place that makes me feel at home in Durham.

If it weren't for parking being so scarce, the score would be higher. That's the worst part of all, when it comes to Skewers. The parking is VERY LIMITED! If you like Hookah, good food (especially wings), drinks and live music, it's definitely where you want to be.The crowd may be "sketchy" for some, if you don't frequent the establishment on a regular basis, but it's a laid back crowd. Can definitely get super packed because of its size, a slight negative, but I love the atmosphere though.

They hosted a holiday party for us and it was wonderful. The owner, the DJ, bartenders, and the crew were all great! Food was delicious and music was perfect. Highly recommended!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! I placed and order while staying at Duke Childrens hospital. The food arrived inedible. My 6yo daughter is post transplant and the shrimp wasnt all the way cooked and still cold in the middle. I called the manager and he was VERY RUDE. He said he could not help the temperature of the food after it left the resturant. He nonchalantly asked that I get my money back from the delivery company postmates. He then called me back and said he would prepare the food and deliver himself. He never showed. I called the resturant back and he was "gone" for the evening. I left my phone number and he didnt have the decency to even call me back. My daughter and I went to bed hungry. He should be ashamed of himself! We spent $50 plus on our total meal. Also, ordered drums only wings and didnt get that right. NEVER AGAIN!

They got really stingy during the pandemic and started giving 1 ranch with 12 wings. I understand the strain on your business but how much does a cup of ranch cost?

When I went there the hookah was great, and I loved the atmosphere as we sat outside .. the downtown atmosphere was pretty great for pictures .. the staff was courteous and the food was good as well.
