Every time I go here I look forward to eating grilled salmon with vegetables and rice. I find it the best in DT. Ottawa. Ambiance of this place is not bad. Service is also good.

Good spot. Fun atmosphere. Great owner who knows what he’s doing and treats his customer with respect. They took a long time to bring my food once. The waitress realized and said it was on the house. Mistakes happen and these guys make it right when they do.

When it comes to summers in Ottawa, I'm a sucker for two things: patios, and open garage doors. The Sir John A Pub has both of these. I've admittedly been here only a handful of times, so I haven't gotten to experience everything they have to offer; live entertainment is one thing I haven't seen here yet, and that I'm very eager to. To echo other reviewers, they do have a really fantastic beer selection, and my dining companion tonight mentioned that she was confused by having "too many choices." Food is great, but I will say I find it a bit on the pricey side (like any of the eateries on Elgin street, really). Staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to be around. All-in-all a great place and I highly recommend.

Been a while since I had been there but love this place. Wings are delicious and prices are affordable. The staff are excellent and service is great.

Superb beer menu. Food menu is typical pub eats - wraps are delicious. Great atmosphere and staff is stellar. Noise level mixed in with music sometimes gets a little too high so holding a conversation can get a little tricky.

Great pub atmosphere and I loved the decor. Server was friendly and service was fast. One meal was hot, mine had great fresh yam fries but the wrap was barely warm. One beer was cold and one cider was tepid. Ok meal and experience overall.
