My favourite sushi joint in Tokyo. Been coming here 2 times a year apart. Both times had been amazing. Love this hidden gem. Each sitting takes about an hour. If there’s a line up, well worth the wait. Starts at 2900yen per person and up.

Small and cozy Japanese style sushi place, hiding in an alley at Tsukiji market. The place offer only 10 seats for patrons, so its very small and cozy. The sushi Omakase courses are delightful. The rice is well textured and seasoned, so no need to add any taste to the dishes at all. Highly recommended for those who travel to experience the best sushi in Tokyo.

Sushi stall experience inside the Tsukiji market. You can expect to wait ~1 hour because there are very seats inside. Most people opt for one of the four sushi meals, but you can add on more things like steamed egg, sake, etc. The chefs tend to interact more with folks who speak Japanese, but overall they do a great job of engaging with customers. Everything tasted delicious and fresh and it was a wonderful experience watching the chefs work right in front of us.

Authentic sushi with great food & service. Only 10 sushi counter seats. Be prepared to wait but worth it

One of those hidden gems that needs to be discovered. Chef is amazing with his choice of fishes and his delicate preparation is precise... You are not supposed to ask wasabi and soy sauce because it's already in there... witness an artist's craft here...

Very beautifully made and delicate sushi. An absolute flavor fest that I was very lucky to wait in line for. The quality of fresh fish makes such a large difference in taste, but you never really notice until you try the real thing. I’ve had amazing sushi before, and this matches or surpasses all of it. Very glad to have stopped here!

If you wish to taste traditional sushi from the Edo period, this is an excellent choice. The restaurant looks like an establishment from back in the days, with a very simple interior design... just what you need to make the experience authentic. No description could possibly reflect how delicious it was, you will have to try for yourself!

Those were the freshest sushi we've had so far.Though on that day the fish market was closed =)2000 set was not very different from 4000 set and the size was the same.

Good quality sushi, a little pricey. Young chefs are very friendly and chatty, which made the meal enjoyable. We got the set meal which was presented neatly and on time. I'd recommend just eating off the street stalls, rather than pay the premium for a sit down restaurant.

The best sushi experience I have had so far. You get 3 set menu options of 10 dishes each, (we chose the middle option for 6000 yen). And a sushi master serves dish after dish of amazing standards. Very generous with the quantity of top-quality uni (which in my mind already covers half the cost of the meal).. and the blow-torched sushi just melts in your mouth. Service was great as well but too bad we didn’t speak or understand Japanese because we could tell the other guests were really enjoying the conversation with the chefs. Would definitely come back again in the future!

A little pricey as far as sushi goes, but definitely a great deal for omakase. Very friendly staff and great fish.

It's a shame Tsukiji Market isn't what it used to be. But I took my friend anyway who's never been, and sadly it was Sunday and late in the day so it was the quietest the market's ever been, I imagine. That turned out to be a good thing when we discovered Shutoku Honten as it was nearly empty. We sat at the bar and each ordered a dish. I had a plate with 8 nigiri and 6 pieces of a tuna roll. I really enjoyed all of the fish as it was a step above the food hall sushi I had been eating.
