Shogun Japanese Steak House

I used to love this place. I hadn't been for a few years and order some to go last night. It wasn't exactly what I remembered. I got my usual. Teriyaki chicken and fried rice, double salad. I barely got enough salad for one salad, let alone two. I had hardly any broccoli and my chicken was a little hard. Bad day maybe.

Hope it was just an "Off Night" for our Chef..grumpy attitude...food had no taste whatsoever. Tea was sour..but replaced with another drink, without question, for everyone . Not a good experience!!!

Food and service is great. The roaches crawling on the tables are not so great.

This place is wonderful. Been twice and both times it was not busy. It is a bit pricey but it is worth every penny. My husband even said that it tastes just like Korea, and he was deployed twice there. My son loves the show the chef puts on. It is excellent.

I had the Steak and Shrimp with the Fried Rice and Sweet Tea. The food was delicious. The Chef seemed miserable. He cooked the meal and that was all he did. He was not pleasant. The waitress didn't ask if we needed anything until it was time to leave. The price was right but the service was cold.

Enjoyed lunch with my wife. Nice clean restaurant and bathroom. Wife ordered hibachi chicken & shrimp; I ordered chicken & steak. Salads. Nice portions. Received three stars because the rice and vegetables for each of our meals were delivered at a lukewarm temperature. Didn't justify the wait time.

Cooks cook right in front of you, and does tricks throughout! My favorite trick is the onion volcano!!

The food a d show were great.

We have eaten in like places in Boston, Miami, Seattle and San Diego and many places in between.The Shogun in Columbus is one place we always look forward to eating at. The food was of the highest quality, elagantly prepared and served. I personnally checked their health records. It was 100 (the highest). The other Japonese steakhouses in the area just did not stand up to that standard. The Chefs were all oriental and experts in their preperation and serving of our meals. We are a multicultured group and each of us were delighted in the way we were catered to individually. Overall it was an outstanding evening

Shogun is great! I always customize my orders, no peas and carrots in the rice, and they always get it correct. Everything tastes great. To go orders are so easy. Call it in, makes it quick to take the meals home. Eating in or to go, meals are always large portions.

Love this place. Hadi makes the best sushi. 🍙🍣🍥🥢🍱 The Hibachi is amazing too.

Food is Ok. Cook was nice and fun.

I enjoy the atmosphere and the cooks are always entertaining. The last time I went, the chicken was overcooked and dry and the server was very hard to find. I will probably be trying the other hibachi style restaurants before I retry this one.
