Sho Sushi Bar & Kitchen

Very consistent, awesome sushi. Great non-sushi menu selection as well.The only thing that could make this place better is they also opened one in Seton!

A bit pricey, but worth it. Great tasting sushi. The yam fries were very good also, best I've had. Would definitely come again, service was great too.

A nice place for enjoying Japanese food. Services were a bit slow but were not terribly bad. Many different kinds of food choices, taste fresh and each dishes were nicely presented but nothing very special considering their price and quality-wise. And, seating wasn't really comfortable. I think more spacing between table required.

The service is amazing, the food is the best I ever had in Calgary! Everything is so fresh! I love the atmosphere here, very relaxing. This is officially my favorite Japanese restaurant in Calgary! You have to try it!

I love the atmosphere as soon as you walk in. All the staff are pleasant and experienced. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who sat down with us and took the time to get to know us, which I feel goes a long with customers. I’m a big sushi lover and the sushi at Sho is delicious! Highly recommend.

Any time I’m in town from Edmonton, Sho is a must! I am a big sushi fan and have struggled to find a favourite place, but one taste of their salmon nigiri and I was hooked. They have a variety of rolls on offer and the fish is incredibly fresh. They have also done a good job of altering things to accommodate gluten sensitivity as well, which is greatly appreciated. Already looking forward to our next trip!

Do not ever need to come here again. Food came out cold. Took 30 minutes to replace our Special Lunch Combo. Looked great. Was nice when it finally came. Sashimi rolls great. They did compensate with some California and Dynamite Rolls to go and a special coffee.

Ordered two appetizers and two mains. One appetizer and main came out right away, waited a while for the second appetizer and then another wait for the second main to come out. Dishes were huge compared to the portions, made it seem like they hadn't really filled the dishes. Taste was average at best. The best thing ordered was a Sho Sunrise. Apparently the new place Ajito uses the same kitchen, so it feels like an attempt to get new customers in because the food definitely can't on its own. Frozen grapes given at the end, helped to cleanse the palette from the sub par food.

Sho Sushi is my favorite sushi restaurant in Calgary. The sashimi is always amazing, the service is always quick and the price point is incredibly reasonable. The rolls at this place are really well done. They have fire dragon rolls that they actually light on fire and present it to the table. The fire dragon rolls look very impressive, however, I always ask them not to light it on fire as you can smell the lighter fluid on the plate and I do not find that very appetizing. Other than that its one of my favorite rolls to get here, along with the lobster rolls.After spending some time in Japan this sushi is the next best thing in my opinion. Most weekends you can see the owner walking around greeting the guests; and he is such a nice man. This is such a great place and I cannot say enough good things about it, definitely check it out!

I think Sho is one of the good sushi places I’ve been to in Calgary. The food was good and the service was quite quick. Wasn't really impressed with the staff, no one seemed to be smiling or trying to be nice to us even though we were being friendly. It was like they were doing their job and that's it. Also the server kinda led me to order too much food, as when I handed her our order she was like: so, just these?! That gave me the impression that it's not enough, and I have to admit I'm not that expericed with sushi so I took it as a hint and order more, needed up going home with half of the food ordered :D Anyway, I still think it's a good place for Sushi, next time I might just order for delivery though.

They have the best greetings and farewell. Food is always good and decor is appropriate, wish they played better music that suited the room better. Give them your business it's worth it.
