Shitamachi Tendon Akimitsu

Opens at 1030am which is the plus since most restaurants were still closed. So we settled for this. Nice clean spacious environment but the soup is very salty and average. No chilli oil or powder here though there are sides for you to help yourself with.

Pretty recent Hakata ramen with good portions and decent price.The spicy (karaka) one especially is a nice variation.

Quite famous pork ramen chain. It's tasty, doesn't smell much.

Not recommend for solo traveler. The ramen was ok but the service was not very pleasant. I had to ask water for a few times and the menu was only on Japanese. Not welcome feeling at all, I would recommend go to other local reman restaurants as they gave way better service without edditional tax fee.

Hakata Ippudo Ramen, Asakusa, Taito, keeps up with the chain policy of being professional and consistent with especially its Ramen.They have an english menu, for travelers like us, so ordering is easy. Regular condiments like pickled ginger, chilli etc available at every table.But i have to say, the pan fried gyoza were smaller than any gyoza that i have eaten during my stay.

We went on a Monday evening. Small line, but it went quickly. English menus were available which was great. The gyoza and ramen were superb! Would definitely recommend.

Well its Ippudo, so its pretty much awesome, but make sure to collect those Gyoza tickets. As a foreigner you have to feel adventurous and spicy ones. I forget the name of the Ramen, but the one which looks like my picture below. Put in some of the red ginger as taste-bud foreplay. The spice hits you! On the other hand, if you feel more traditional Tonkatsu style, try the creamy soupy one, the taste of which is overwhelming. You just can't believe you had that. Get one Onsen-Tamago with it, its worth it. Do remember you are eating 800+ kCal including the soup per Ramen meal.

I got the Karaka Ramen at this location and it was excellent - unlike its locations in the US. The portions are decent sized but I still paid for extra noodles.

Better than Ichiran in my opinion. English menu offered each time I've tried Ippudo in different locations as well. At this one they asked how I wanted the noodles(firm, medium or soft). 3 types of pickles, sauces, pepper and sesame seeds free to help yourself at table. Free fresh garlic you can press into your soup yourself on request. Very highly recommended!

Price is reasonable for Ramen. The atmosphere is cool. Staff are nice and friendly. Love it here. Totally recommend here for your ramen fix.
