Shantell’s

If you want the home cooked food this is the place to go. Everyone makes you feel at home. We tried the wing, fried chicken, catfish and a few of the sides. Everything was hot and seasoned to perfect. The owner shantell came and sat with which she is an awesome soul. I would recommend this place to family and friends for sure. It's a black owned business run by the family. I will be back on jazz night.

Shantell's was amazing as you can tell from the pictures. It's a small quaint spot with personable service where the chef came out to see what I thought of the food.I didn't need to add any seasoning to the food as it was perfect the way it came out. Completely delicious and I cleaned the plate. I was hoping for leftovers but I couldn't stop eating the food. I've provided evidence of my guilt.They also have live music. I was able to catch the drummer warming up. He raved about Shantell's stating that he's retired from bands but loves to play from time to time at Shantell's. It gives him another reason to eat there.

I celebrated my graduation earlier this evening in this fine place. happy to tell that it was a great evening and the venue was clearly the reason for that fruitful evening. The team contributed in a graceful manner, the cooking was very good and my friends were so thrilled. We shall definitely return for more events. thanks very much.

From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were greeted kindly as walking up to the establishment. Everyone was extremely kind. The atmosphere was inviting and had a great vibe to it. My girl and I both ordered fried chicken, collard greens, and mac. We also decided to try the Tiger bomb tea which was amazing. The food came out fresh and hot, and everything tasted great. You can taste the seasoning in the food, and it’s just the right amount. Ms. Shantell came out herself to say hello, and to thank us for coming. I left completely happy and full! I definitely love my soul food, so this is a place I will be coming back to.

If you like food that is made with love, this is your place. I’ve eaten lots of fried chicken in my lifetime and hands-down this is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Must visit

Awesome place, live jazz the food was excellent. Nice older crowd if you looking for a place to go in Sanford. Just to unwind listen to some good music. And just to mellow out. With people 40 and above This is the place to go on a Friday and Saturday night.

We went very late night (after midnight) and I was shocked that you could order from their full menu. I got fried catfish and we shared the fried okra, fried cornbread, and mac and cheese. Everything was fantastic and well cooked. The menu had a lot of soul and southern foods, and a big selection of desserts. I would go back any time, even if it wasn't late night.

The food is great! Home cooking and a comfortable atmosphere. Shantell herself is an absolute delight! I highly recommend this place. We look forward to checking out karaoke and comedy night as well.
