A regular stop for me. I've had so many things here, and nothing disappoints. They even offer some dim sum items during happy hour. I love the pork belly fried rice. the hot wings, shumai, the beans, the service, the drinks, gigantic pot stickers, sauteed green beans, spicy dry friend chicken, all things spicy dry rock in here. with hard liquor to boot.

I've been ordering takeout from Shandong regularly since 2018. Anytime I feel like Chinese takeout, this is the spot.Food quality is excellent. Every order has been the same. Consistently delicious.I've tried a number of dishes, and they've all been great. However, I've discovered a combo that I now get everytime.-Dry Sautéed Green Beens (this dish is the best. It should win an award.)-Spicy Dry Fried Chicken-Pork Belly Fried RiceMix those on a plate, or eat individually outta the takeout box like a 90's sitcom. Thanks Shandong

We dropped in for lunch at Shandong and it was a great decision. The lunch specials were reasonably priced and the portions were huge. We ordered the Cherry Pork and Tan Tan noodle. The Cherry Pork was awesome. It's like sweet & sour pork, but I think they use bits of maraschino cherries instead of pineapples. It was addicting. The Tan Tan noodle was good too. Hand pulled noodles. The sauce was a bit strange. I think it was peanut based. It was good, but really different. Good restaurant. We'll be back.

Best noodles I've ever had! They are handmade noodles! Food is so fresh and delicious! We had the shrimp dumplings, Judy Noodles, Singapore noodles and spicy chau mar seafood noodle soup! Must try any of these or all. Will be back for sure.

A hopping little place tucked in to the Sandy/Broadway convergence, just west of the Bucks and next door to the Northeast Community Center. Yes, the food is excellent, yes, I would definitely recommend reservations and the pot stickers! I have visited numerous times now and have yet to see an open table for long, bring your patience and your $$, it is worth the wait.

last night was the first time we went to this fine restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the superb meal and booze and with the decent charge. We will absolutely return there soon.

The ideal Chinese veggie meal: so rich and savory you don't miss meat. I had the Mongolian Soy Curls. Yum!!! Service good considering how PACKED the place gets. Portions are *very* generous. Great value, considering what you get.

I have only ordered take out but I'll definitely be back for more. I am vegan and they are extremely accommodating with a vegan section in the menu. The food was delicious. I'll be bringing my family here when they are in town.

I would have given Shandong 5 stars a year ago. But this experience was far from great. First of all, let me state our server was wonderful! And the crab won tons were terrific! The pot stickers were good, but not the best. The spring rolls were inedible, as was the sweet and sour pork. Let's just say I've had much better from the frozen food section. I really am sorry this was such a change from the other times I've been there. I'm hoping it was just a bad night for their cooks!!

I've been to Shandong twice, and thoroughly enjoyed it both times, but from looking at other reviews and their website, I suspect I may have made a bit of a timing error. I've visited for lunch, getting together with one friend each time. So, I've ended up with a single lunch entree from the somewhat smaller midday menu. The plan for my next trip will be to go with a larger group of people so that I can share a much wider variety of things from the dinner menu. That being said, I have found Shandong's soup dumplings to be the equal of those I've had anywhere, and the chicken entrees have made for delightful lunches.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Portland. A hidden gem. Great lunch specials and friendly staff. Don't be surprised, parking is scarce. It's still worth it!

Nicest thing one could say is that this is a glorified Panda Express, white people as far as the eye could see. Soup dumplings by definition have soup in them, no soup and thick chewy dough that was dry and stale on top, as if they had been sitting there for a while. Same goes for the potsticker dough. Filling for both is bland and the vinegar dip does nothing to blend the flavours. Dry cooked string beans were fine, no distinct flavour profile aside from garlic and string beans. Beef dish was designated as spicy, no spice at all. Flooded in an overly sweet sauce, yet in spite of this, the beef was the consistency of jerky on the edges and beyond chewy. Only shining light was the rice wasn’t overcooked and they had a Chinese craft beer that I’d never seen before.

The Dragon Whisper drink was so delicious! I expected the food to be better, it was okay. I will go back to try other items.

Holy cow, this food has been out of the world. They're hand trimmed thick, chewy, and refreshing. The hot chow mein'd jalapeños and red chilies therefore it was fairly hot but oh so great. The hot won ton was at a really hot sauce and needed a yummy chunk of pork at the center. The Shang dong chicken had good taste too. I feel like I have never had actual Chinese food before that location. It is unbelievable.
