First time here and we loved it. Great (and vast) alcohol selection with drinks you might not have had before. They also have lunch specials. I got the bangers and mash, and my husband got a full English, which they call a Full Monty. We finished that off with the brownie bites. The waitress told us there was a dessert of the day, which wasn't featured on the menu. We left very full and satisfied and will definitely be back again.

Great pub! Secret entrance; if you can find it you may enter. I highly recommend the Shepherd's pie. Parking was tough; we parked on Washington.

The experience: five stars. The food: three. But maybe that's unfair, because British cuisine isn't known for excellence. In any event, the service was good, and we appreciated the old phone booth outside our window. The very placement of the pub on the side of a hill is reminiscent of Britain. My drink was a tasty flavor combo of hard cider and porter. We started with a Scotch egg, a hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage, rolled in bread crumbs, and baked to crisp deliciousness. The main course was fish and chips. The fish was moist but pretty much like all the other fish and chips available, and the chips were bland, soggy, and absolutely uninspired. Is that how they're supposed to be in Britain?

Just like walking into a pub in London. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. The shop next door is also a great source of English fare.

This place was only okay. It wasn't terrible. It wasn't great. Nothing to write home about.I had the full English breakfast. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't mind blowing or notably delicious in any way. My boyfriend had the eggs benedict, which he thought was just okay. The best thing was probably the service and the tea. The waitress was super sweet and was helpful when I asked questions about the menu. She didn't hassle us, so we were able to drink our tea and just enjoy our breakfast out.The phone booth was cool for a quick photo op.

Seriously best Sheppards Pie hands down. I have never been to a place so busy and still get served quality food in such a fast pace. I have been eating here for since I was 12 and plan to be eating here until I'm 50

The pub is super big. There is plenty of space table and chair.Great place to come in a group as there can easily separate the bills for each person. The selection of wine is small. And to be honest they need to improve in the range of beer and include cherry and fruity Belgium beers. The tomato soup was not blended neither strained which Gordon Ramsey will completely disapprove.

Friendly staff and good “English” staple meals. The staff here were super friendly. We enjoyed some simple fish and chips after being in California for 2 weeks. It’s possible to find parking outside but the place gets busy so be prepared to wait around for a table. Definitely recommend this place. Enjoy.

I dig the place. Its dark and the place fits the part of an English tavern. The staff really make the place. Food was good.....not great but serviceable but that menu isn't designed to wow you. It's comfort food and it does that well. Great beer selection. Definitely no place like it in San Diego.

Everything about this place was perfect English pub. No strip mall atmosphere. Our fish was huge, bigger than my hand, light and fluffy batter, inside juicy, tender and flaked apart. They do have a thing about peas though, they're cooked to perfection, no mushy here. One of the nights favorites were the lettuce roll ups. YUM, they were so good.

The best Fish and chips!! Great service and atmosphere We sat outside with our pup Zarbie. Watched the padres and had a chill day. Good specials on beer too. The patio is big and overlooks a bit of downtown and has forever views.

Great place for British Pub food and beer in Downtown San Diego. Particularly good Fish & Chips and Meat Pies, and they have a good selection of English and Irish beers. They have indoor and outdoor seating, or sit at the authentic British bar. On the other side of the patio from the restaurant is the Tea Room where you will find authentic food and tea from Great Britain. There is a comedy club adjacent to the Tea Room, so you can find parking, grab beers at the Pub bar, and then go to the show.Location is convenient and close to the airport. Parking is free but limited.
