I had the most incredible dinner at Sen Sakana this weekend. I had VIP Clients in town that needed somewhere to go and they called me at the last minute. They wanted to take me out to dinner and I knew just where to go!The menu seems appears long and I was worried my clients would be frustrated, but the server Vivian really guided us through each section! The Nikkei Ceviche melts in your MOUTH! The Addictive Cucumber Salad is appropriately named! I almost ate the whole thing!Chicken Nan Ban and the Waygu Steak are to DIE FOR!!!Definitely made a lasting impression and I'll be back for Valentine's Day!!!!

Loved the food! The mushroom empanada and the croquette appetizers are delicious, the miso mango salmon was perhaps my favorite dish - so unbelievably delicious - and decently sized, the nigiri was good but nothing phenomenal, and the ice cream desert is simple but so satisfying. Their drinks are really delicious and unique. Service was good too! I was a bit surprised at how split the menu was as we were expecting more fusion dishes. Having said that, this is a great spot for Japanese and Peruvian food.

Good happy hour spot in Midtown. Vast cocktail selection. Good food in a tapas style version of East Asian cuisine.

Fantastic Cocktails, which are well priced and fantastic Bar Staff. Our bar man (sorry don't know his name, but he is from Uraguay) was great!

What an amazing place. Peruvian / Japanese fusion. We were skeptical when it came up as an option on Google, but wanted to try something a little different. Sen Sakana did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Taste of Summer Roll paired with a Blue Crush.

I'm giving this place 5 stars for the excellent staff and decor and quality but to be honest the food wasn't for me. While I enjoyed Chinese Peruvian and other fusions in Peru I found this wasn't my cup of tea. If you are a fan of Japanese food though, you'll likely love it.

Fresh sashimi, decent selections, service a little slower than what I'm used to

Fusion Japanese and Peruvian food. Sushi and caviar were fresh and they were able to easily accommodate a dairy free eating experience. The house tofu was served with eye droppers full of dashi extract and eating it was a novel experience. The only downside is the quality to price ratio is slightly skewed but they are non-tipping meaning that fair wages are paid which balances as well.

Very elegant. First time I had corn on the cobb, Japanese style. The mushroom dish was phenomenal.

We were a group of 5. We had a bit of a situation with the seating arrangements due to the tight space but the manager was able to make accommodations to make us comfortable. We ordered from the entrees and the best one was the chicken rice bowl.

The ambiance is upscale. The Peruvian Japanese fusion is really interesting . Loved their chicken wings which was very different as well as the why they serve edamame is original from other restaurants. The choice of entrees are awesome. The prices are not bad for NYC but what makes it a great value is the no tipping policy whether at the bar or having dinner. As to the waiters they are informed, polite and helpful. Great crowd and the view of the kitchen makes it that much better.
