First time here. Great experience. Sat outside, nice covered area. Spaced out comfortably. I didn't mind the pets, it was spaced the comfortably. Meal was great. Me and friend took advantage of their "two for" dinner. We had their polenta, asparagus, and pork WITH a dessert for less than $50 with tip! That also included a bottle of wine. Perfect date place too. It was a beautiful day, beautiful weather, great meal!

Staff seem great! Very friendly! If you've never been here before and want a hot meal (not a sandwich or pizza) it's tricky ordering. Thankfully they have staff to assist you. I did not care for the hot side choices myself, but you can check out their menu on their website and decide for yourself. I got the teriyaki chicken thigh, which seemed to have little flavor, and a side salad. It was ok. My hubby got the Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and mushroom sides. They only give you 3 meatballs for 13.50, so he got 2 orders. Was pretty pricey when adding 2 drinks and a strawberry tres Leche. Everything was good, but over $70 without the tip. To me, that's way too much to spend for 2 people with no table service and the fact I barely ate anything. I'll definitely go back and try a sandwich at lunchtime. I saw some being carried out and they looked great!

Great food in a cafe setting. Large beer and wine selection, dogs okay on the patio, really excellent house made dessert selection. Selland's has something for everyone!

Fresh flavorful and casual. Huge menu and drink selection as well as delicious desserts. My son loved the pizza and I enjoyed an assortment of salads!

Selland's is always a go-to for an enjoyable meal. Excellent sandwiches, pizza, and sangria. Keep an eye out for their weekly specials for 2 that comes with a bottle of wine for $25.

'21/8 updated review, but customer handful of times over the years: -- Parking is typical mid-town sparce, tight, and on a busy two lane road. Be prepared to park in residential neighborhood streets (free), then walking. [NOTE: I highly recommend dropping off passenger to get in order-line during crowded lunch hours.] -- There is a row of parking stalls for pickup orders. -- While limited indoor seating, the small outdoor, front patio is now dwarfed by the COVID 2020 created outdoor tented seating created on the parking lot at east side of the building. -- Always vibrantly crowded, so expect standing in line to order at fast-casual, cafeteria-style counter--though very fresh, from-scratch quality level food. -- When lunch-crowd busy, order taker with tablet stands at initial display case taking main order; then one heads around to pick desserts/drinks, and pay. A number placed at table's edge guides the server (NOT a waiter though) to drop off the food order. -- Once placed order at counter, and awaiting food, one's attention can now be focused on securing a table, and fetching one's own glass of water (several fruit/veg steeped choices), utensils, & napkins. [Note: indoors is small bistro-type tables & small wicker-like chairs.] -- Consistently good food and service year in & year out. . [1st review 2018, 5 Star]

Sellands is great for lunch or dinner, especially on a hot day. Great variety of sandwiches and salads. Also a good rotation of dinner dishes, and the desserts are always worth looking at. A little pricey, but not high enough to discourage eating there.

Ambiance 4- social but noisy Food 3.5- Tasty but a little overpriced and everything is ala carte. Location 4- East Sac, quiet, too far to walk to another bar after eating though. Service 3- You stand in a line to order and you sit yourself, sometimes sharing tables with other parties. I realize that technically my scores average to 72% but I'm going to round down instead of up to 4 stars because of my overall gut feeling. I'll definitely be back though. Probably many times.

I love the dinner specials for 2 that this restaurant offers. The prices are great and food is made from scratch!

Go fir the burgers and truffle fries, stay for the desert and sangria or wine. I recommend ordering the desert at the same time as your dinner. Otherwise, you will may need to order the desert online. I enjoyed ba salmon burger, sangria, and a high hat cupcake. Be aware parking at the east side location is limited. Enjoy

I had the lemon chicken breast and it was dry. Mashed potatoes were good, butternut squash was just okay. Chocolate Mousse Bar was really good. So looks like I will be going there for dessert next time.

They are very accommodating to large (last minute) orders. The servers who bring the food out to your car are so polite. Good food, good service what else can you ask for?

Everything here is made with purpose and the freshest ingredients. What used to be a hidden gem is now well known and rightfully so. They have won my tastebuds for life!
