Amazing food. The pastry chef is remarkable. We always get both pastries when we go. Drinks are great. Patio is lovely in the summer. One of my favorite restaurants in town.

I don't know what I expected - but it was not what I found. We recently went to a restaurant that gets great reviews - and the only part of the meal we enjoyed was the wine. I walked into Selden Standard cautious - but our experience was WOW! We had the beet and mushroom dishes as appetizers - and shrimp and ribeye as main courses - with small scoops of gelato and ice cream for dessert. The flavors are a gift to your taste buds - honest! They are delicious and smooth. The price makes it nice - but not ouch when you see the bill. We will definitely be going back!

Very fresh food highlighting local and seasonal ingredients which are even more enjoyable when viewed from the chef's counter.Great choice for brunch, lunch, dinner, or even just a cocktail and small plates. Continues to stay strong over the years, much appreciated institution in Midtown.

I was in town for worked, stopped in here for a late lunch and am glad I did. The food was great and service was friendly and attentive. I had the steak frites, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection! I also enjoyed this pumpkin and sesame cake, which tasted like Fall in each bite. I'll be back next time I'm here for work again.

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! I came here for dinner with my colleagues and we ordered the oysters, fish, pasta, sprouts (just to name a few) and everything was absolutely delicious!! The drinks were great and the atmosphere is very mellow. Def. recommend this place!

The food was delicious. Hip atmosphere and outstanding service. My waiter was very attentive plus gave excellent recommendations.

Really great environment, excellent knowledgeable staff members. Food was awesome as well. Craft cocktails, vegetables, entrees and desserts all had creative flavors and presentations! Enjoy the photos!

We went out for dinner and drinks and were completely blown away. The staff was cheerful and informative loved what they were doing and it showed. We had the Beef Wellington incredible. If you have the chance to visit you must take the tour it’s so beautiful and the information you receive totally makes you appreciate the workmanship of the home. Will definitely return

Truly awesome spot for brunch in Detroit! Absolutely wonderful service, ambiance, and the food was so on point. Limited menu makes it so much better; they specialize in just a few incredible dishes and sides.Worth a trip and repeat!

We visited Selden Standard on a Saturday evening and were blown away by the quality of food, service, and ambiance. The staff at Selden Standard are top notch, always vigilant to your needs and the pace at which your dining experience is unfolding.Many of Selden Standard's dishes could be categorized as tapas, designed to be shared amongst your friends, but portion sizes on the main entrees are more than adequate. Prices mimic the quality, meaning they are quite high, but the food and service justify the price.The facility itself is clean and minimalist. It has separate rooms which create a different experience depending on where you are seated. Despite being busy, it's not so loud that you can't carry on a conversation.All the food is exceptional. We sampled nearly every dish on the menu, and literally everything we ate was fantastic.Without question, if you're looking for an upscale, modern eatery, you'd be well-served at Selden Standard.

I was very impressed with Selden Standard. We came with a fairly large group so we ordered almost all of the small plates. I did not find one that was not stylish and flavorful. There was an excellent cocktail menu but I did not indulge. Definitely a fun place for dinner.
