Rated number five burger in Illinois, and for good reason. I'm not much of a well done burger fan, but on occasion I will go out of my way to make the wife happy because she loves those crispy edges. And the green River shake is a major go to. My main issue would be the young staff that seems unorganized at times, creating long wait times and faulty orders. The lack of communication holders also becomes a problem for carry out because they put drinks in bags, which is a major problem. The lids will get pinched open and make some not so fun messes. Overall, this is a great, long time establishment that we just can't get away from.

Yummy burgers that were made quickly. They're smashed style. Crispy ends fries came out without salt. Felt like the burger also could've used a bit a salt but would definitely return

Cool little diner setting. Awesome food! I used to gobhere a lot when i was younger and today for the first time in a long time we went for a snack. I got a double cheese burger and not only was it delicious but it was HUGE and very filling! Cool spot for families and kids as well. We will be back soon! Oh and the shakes are to die for!!

Probably one of the last truly great hamburger places left. Fresh, prepared to order burgers that have not changed in 30 years. Fries, shakes, onion rings to round it out. All served in the same location I remember from childhood.

OMG! So yummy. Especially when you're hung over from a fantastic 4th of July celebration. Will be going back. 😁

Best mom and pop place for great burgers and the only place in town where you can order green river.

I have been eating here since they opened. Whenever relatives come to town, it's the first place they want to visit. Always great food and reasonable prices. The servers are always cheerful.
