Schneider's German Gasthaus & Beergarden

I would definitely recommend this place! The food is delicious (specially the pretzels)and the atmosphere is family friendly and relaxing. The waitress was awesome. The live music was good. Definitely would come back again!!

I never would have expected to find such good German food in the RGV. I have been to a few German restaurants in the Hill Country and this place holds it's own with the best of them. Their schnitzel is on point. The goulash was delicious. Their soft pretzels are succulent! The service was great, the beer was plentiful and the atmosphere was very relaxed. You can't go wrong here.

It is no longer a German Restaurant even though they are still serving Bratwurst and schnitzel. The worst food I have ever had in a restaurant. I'm sure the wurst was cooked, frozen and then reheated. They won't be around 6 months from now.

Great beer, great outdoor seating area, AMAZING pretzels. Like seriously, get a pretzel. Your life has been meaningless and empty until you try one.

Love, Love, Love, Love this place! The staff is SO friendly and attentive. I absolutely love the entire outdoor space. I love how it makes me feel as if I'm in my very own comfortable back yard. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. It is pet and kid friendly. They also serve wine for the non-beer drinker. I love their starter-pretzels and butter. But I absolutely love their huge pork dish! Trust me, order only one and share. It is Huge!

By far the best restaurant in the valley. Amazing staff,great kitchen. Awesome atmosphere. The food is spectacular.

This is a comfortably laid-back bar-restaurant with an indoor seating area and a large outdoor seating area. Sit outdoors during the cooler part of the day and ask for bug spray if mosquitoes start to bother you. On Saturdays they offer live music. The beer selection is nice and the service is friendly. It looked like a mostly older crowd, but that is actually a plus, as it doesn't get too rowdy.

This is a great place to have a delicious meal, good meal and hot pretzels. In an odd location especially with the construction on Dove and Ware but definitely worth it! Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Can easily spend more than you expected but again, worth it!

The food is good, but the live entertainment on the weekends if what keeps the wife and I entertained.
