Went for breakfast and the whole table was overwhelming happy with the quality of the food and how we didn’t have to wait in a classic philly style Sunday morning brunch line. The complimentary pickle bar is INSANE. The “health salad” (in said pickle bar) is so good I’d eat it everyday. Highly recommend and will be back for more breakfast, and lunch, and pastries, and heck probably also dinner!!

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here today with friends. I had the Stanley Reuben sandwich and it was delicious. It's a classic deli in Center City.

Schlesinger's is more than a typical Delicatessen. How so!? Because it has a rich history as well as the quality of their food. When I visit here, I feel as though I am back in Brooklyn; the food brings me back to my childhood of spending the weekends with my Nana and grandparents. So for me, it is a place of reminiscing. The quality of the food is impeccable. They offer sit down, take out and catering. Located right in center City, if you are like me and live in Jersey just hop on the train and you are there. If you are a pastrami lover, a Reuben lover this is the place for you! With such a wonderful selection of foods and desserts to choose from you can never go wrong with what you decide as it is all delicious! While you wait, if you choose to dine in, you can go to the pickle bar and set your self up a bowl of pickles, coleslaw, potatoe and or macaroni salad. The Service is friendly and the prices do not break the bank $$ and they are open 7 days a week.

An always delish choice for quality Jewish deli cuisine. I’m slowly working my way through the menu. First stop...the pickle bar. Yum!!

Awesome pickle bar. Brought home a slice of the Napoleon cake and am still enjoying it!

Some good and some bad. The Very Good: latkes (like Savta used to make) and the vegetable soup (who knew something good for you could be so tasty). The Bad: beef kreplach soup(only one kreplach, really!), lemonade (water with a lemon wedge)Hint: the Strawberry cake: the icing is way to sweet, ask for a side of whipped cream and leave the icing behind.

Sclesinger's aims to be that old-fashioned, classic Jewish deli, except they're new. They have a pickle bar, so that was great. I had the lox and everything bagel dish. It was good but it's hard to screw that up. I also tried the chocolate dipped, coconut macaroon, which gets a C+. I will update review when I try more items on the menu.

A decent Jewish deli. Food is very good, not spectacular.

I've gone multiple times for just the Rittenhouse and it's always worth it! The pickle bar makes it more worth it but it's a great place in general.

The quintessential Jewish delicatessen. A wide selection of breakfast lunch and dinner items. A complementary pickle bar has a wide assortment of pickles as well as cucumbers and hot peppers. The matzo ball soup was excellent and the matzoh ball was about the size of a baseball. There was plenty of chicken, bowtie pasta and carrots in a tasty broth. The matzoh ball was exactly the correct consistency. Hot pastrami on rye with cheddar cheese was equally as good and about 2 inches thick. The potato pancakes were small, about 3 inches in diameter but very flavorful. Try to save room for dessert, if you can. They have an outstanding assortment to please just about anybody. You might end up taking quite a bit home with you. I found the price is very reasonable.

had a great reuben sandwich here, very good flavor, also had an egg cream, and the best part is the free pickle bar, not sure why the bad reviews, this is a great deli.
