Sayat Nova

The food was delicious. Service was excellent. Loved the appetizers (from the picture) and entree was good as well, I had kebab combo for $21.95. Definitely will come back.

My grandma and great-grandma used to make Armenian food together, and this place brings back tons of great memories of them. My mom was drooling over the sarma.

The customer service is always fast, good ambience, super friendly staff. I will eat here again when I am nearby.

If you're ever in downtown Chicago, take some time to have a great meal at Sayat-Nova restaurant, an Armenian restaurant on Ohio street, a block or two from Michigan avenue. It's a small, family owned restaurant and has been there for over 25 years. They have some wonderful middle eastern dishes with an Armenian take to them and some dishes. I had the mixed (beef, Chicken, and lamb) kebabs with rice and grilled vegetables cooked to perfection. It's a small, quiet restaurant in the middle of the block so we could easily carry on a conversation and on a Sunday night it wasn't too busy.

This spot clearly knows how to take care of their customers. Consistently with a very welcoming approach. The food is conveniently priced, constantly delightful and neat.

I had the shish kebab and it was lovely, the pilaf was great, too, as was the roasted pepper with it. They made the Tabouleh with more tomatoes than parsley - my family makes it with mostly parsley. They served it with a basket of warm pita bread. The mint tea was just like Grandma’s (dried from the garden). So happy to see an Armenian restaurant in the heart of beautiful Chicago.

Good food, cool menu. Enjoyed the lahmacum, and a lamb kebab. Nice tabouli, lots of tomatoes. Had a guitarist playing and everyone was singing along. Seems like a cultural spot, not just a food place.

Delicious food - we ordered combo plates which allowed us to try several things. Cozy setting, good prices, and friendly staff.

I adore this restaurant! They prepare decent meals, their menu is varied, The chief cook in that spot is very experienced, I love very much eating all their food. The dishes are consistently of high class, the attitude towards the visitors is nice. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I highly recommend it.

A delightful place to grab drinks. They have live music. Went on a Wednesday evening to catch Bob Solone (plays piano). The atmosphere was cheerful and warm. Loved the place and the drinks.

The service is constantly swift, lovely ambience, friendly staff. Will visit again when I am in town.

The red lentil soup is excellent. All the kabobs are also excellent.

Top of the line restaurant. Beef, chicken or shrimp shish kebab are extremely good. Great staff & service, and clean + fantasy atmosphere. Love it & always will keep coming here

We have come here for years and love both the food and the atmosphere. We have now moved from the Chicago area but still come back to Syat Nova when we visit. Delicious!!
