I really wanted to like this place. Sides in the case looked amazing, and the service was so friendly. I was even willing to be patient about the time it took to make the shawarma, since there was a polite sign explaining it takes a while to cook fresh. But the food was just disappointing. Chicken kebab wasn’t bad, tender inside and nicely browned. But the shawarma was kind of a mess. Chicken was sort of just mushed/shredded, and I don’t know what happened but it was so strongly, aggressively acidic that it was kind of a chore to eat. Not even lemony or vinegary, just harshly acidic and flavorless.

I came to the Morgan street food hall to try this little spot out. I decided to go with a falafel in a wrap. Inside my falafel was cilantro, tomatoes, lettuce, chickpeas and some other stuff. It was pretty good and the service was quick. It came with two sauces I believe one was sour cream and the other was some kind of spicy sauce that tasted good. Maybe next time I’ll try the chicken kabob.

The food is really really good. I got the side combo stuff because I'm gluten free and the signs are right there. I trust it to be safe more than any other place here. I got a chocolate chip cookie which was crunchy but the vegan gf carrot cupcake was suuuper bitter. I couldn't eat it and they so so kindly gave me a refund. So. Buy the fresh food it's amazing. That black bean salad man. Just uh...hopefully my cupcake is an excpetion. It was really buttery though! Thanks for taking care of me. Buying gf baked goods is always hit or miss so I really appreciate you guys taking care of me <3

Delicious food! My wife’s Gluten-free, so it was a bit tough to find a place at Morgan Street Food Hall. But this place checked all of our dietary boxes and was super full of flavor. David, Shanice, and Dakota we’re running it today. David recommended the jalapeño hummus(GET IT) and I’m glad I got it along with the Beef Shawarma. My wife went with the Chicken Shawarma and the regular hummus. They also had GF Pita bread. Most GF pita bread I’ve had is basically pita crackers. But THIS GF pita is fluffy and bread-like. My wife said it was the best GF pita she’s ever had.Shanice(sorry if I spelled the name wrong) was super sweet and recommended the Brookie and answered any remaining questions we had.Dakota was the unsung hero! This man was doing WORK on that grill and everything came out cooked very well and flavored.Highly recommend if you’re going to the food hall!

I love all Sassool food. I've eaten at many of their locations and I like everything I try. However, the process at this location seemed much higher that usual. I paid $18 for two kabobs and two side items. Even with great food, I'd probably try other options at Morgan Street. Going with 3 stars just for the price

Love Sassool. When I want inexpensive plant-based options I take a trip to Sassool at Morgan City Food Hall. Huge fan of the falafel and the lentils.

Two stars for the friendly female staff member working the cash register. We stopped here so my boyfriend could try one of their desserts out after CowBar. He got one of the dark chocolate covered marshmallows and neither one of us were a fan. We tried part of it then threw it away. Worth trying a new place out but we wouldn't get dessert here again.

I had the beef kabab on a wrap, with tomatoes and lettuce, which was quite good. The beef kabab was tender and the charcoal grilled flavor is sure to tantalize the tastebuds of any individual. The only letdown was the side in the form of grape leaves (4 pieces). It did not have the aromatic flavor that you would expect from freshly made grape leaves. Overall, a decent place for lunch and one of the shining jewels of the Morgan street food hall.

This place totally saved my healthy mid week dinner. Their hummus is still the best I’ve had.

The food isn’t as fresh as you think! If I were you I wouldn’t eat here at all! Alot and a lot of the pita bread has mold on it! The salad cases aren’t cleaned and neither are the dishes that the food’s being prepared in! They have the lowest Grade of 97 in the FoodHall. Wonder why? DO NOT EAT HERE FOR YOUR HEALTH !!!!
