Definitely one of the best places in the area. Service is typically good. Food and feeling reminds me of Kansas City.

Great tomato pie, probably the best I've had. Prices are great. Really good cookies too

Used to only get their seeded rolls and only at Sarcones. Lately and after several tries, the seeded rolls taste salty. When I go to the bakery I notice they have an abundance of seeded rolls left versus the plain rolls. Thinking I may not be the only one tasting a change in their long seeded rolls. The long plain ones are still good and worth waiting in line for.

The best bakery in Philadelphia, every form of bread we have ever purchased there has been the best bread ever eaten.

Best Italian bread. Too bad their deli closed, they made the world's best hoagies.

A staple of Philadelphia with maybe the best cannoli I’ve ever had.

On a recent visit to the Italian Market in Philadelphia, I decided to try Sarcone's Bakery.my purpose was to find a tomato pie that was similar to what I used to enjoy when I lived in upstate New York. This is a specific dish. It's not a pizza, and it's not a tomato pie that you find in Trenton. It is simply a slab of dough that is covered with a thick sweet tomato paste. The paste is so thick it can't really be called a sauce. Also there's a light sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese. If you have never had this kind of a tomato pie, I would recommend Sarcone's for this. I liked the pie that is made here. I bought three pieces to take home which I ate over the next few days.sarcones appears to have some excellent bread as well. I noticed many of the people in the bakery with me we're buying the bread & rolls. I recommend that you visit Sarcone's the next time you're in the Italian Market.

The rolls and Sicilian pizza are the best. We travel from NE Philly. It’s well worth the trip.

Ok the bread here is excellent, like has a fanatical following and if you want dinner rolls on a Sunday you better get there early. Any of the bread's I have tried here have been excellent, which is why I gave it 5 stars.

Third generation family owned real bakery. Incredible bread and rolls. Worth the trip to 9th street. Make the time to stop n=in you won't be disappointed. Whenever I am nearby I always pick up the bread for the office staff.just stop in and smell the aroma and it's like you have stepped back in time, real old world bakery!!!!

If you are looking for Italian bread or rolls, I don't think there's a better place. In the AM when the bread is still warm we usually have to buy 2 loaves: one to eat immediately and one to take home.
