Same Same

Been here before and loved the food but service was sadly horrible tonight. Arrived and was told no one was ahead and we’d be seated when the next party left. A party of 2 left a 4 top and we expected to be seated. However a part of 5 came in 10-15 mins after us and were prioritized before us. We were then directed to the bar for seating, which was taken as soon as suggested. The male host made excuses about having to prioritize larger parties which felt very dismissive and unfair to people who were already waiting. The bartender agreed that we should’ve gotten priority. For a place that doesn’t take reservations, they should really ensure they’re committing to fair seating practices. We had later plans that weren’t taken into consideration since it was just assumed that we could just continue to wait.

Amazing food, best Tom Yum I've found anywhere in the city and the fried chicken is awesome

I've tried a handful of dishes on their menu and I will keep coming back. This was one of the first restaurants I tried when I moved to Roscoe Village. The owners are really cool people. Same Same is Flame Flame. I love their Hat Yai sandwich when they have it and the Phat Tai is a really nice portion. It's a cute spot too. They make it a colorful dining experience. Good people, good grub.

Not your regular takeout Thai spot, this is Thai food executed at a high level.

I drive out from the suburbs for the food here! Especially the Pad Thai and rib tips! Can’t find authentic Thai food like Same Sames, where I live. Delicious food and friendly staff. Definitely a favorite of mine!

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff as well as owner even personally checked on us :) I had the Phat Si Ew and its delicious I suggest adding tofu!

I LOVED my food. I picked the phat kee mao. It was DELICIOUS. Flavorful!!! Our group shared the wok peanuts. They were good but flavor was disappointingly subtle. The waitress was attentive and the place has a nice atmosphere Here’s why I gave it a 4. My partner got the hat Yai chicken. He said it was dry and the sauce saved it enough. He was especially disappointed considering the price.

Great atmosphere, food, & cocktails. The Green Curry was the best I've ever had, highly recommend!

This place is adorable! The cocktails were surprisingly unique- really enjoyed the Monkey Business and the Short Round. We had a few of the snacks and the steak dish. Absolutely no complaints. I've been twice and both times the server was kind and attentive. It started to fill up towards the end of our meal the second time but we did not feel rushed at all. There's a big patio out back that we'll be back to check out in the summertime! You can get a couple drinks and split food here and only be out about $50 per person which is a great deal if you ask me!
