Established in beautiful downtown Bar Harbor, Maine in 2019, Salt & Steel is the first restaurant collaboration for owners and fiancees Chef Bobby Will and Kimberly Kraus. Our menu reimagines the freshest seasonal flavors of Maine in a playful and innovative style. The name Salt & Steel was derived from the most basic tools required to prepare food: salt for flavor, and steel for preparation. From this simple idea came the basis for the restaurant’s entire concept: source and gather the most local, seasonal product available, and use it to provide our guests with the beautiful flavors of Maine in an imaginative and creative presentation. Guests of Salt & Steel can expect to enjoy the flavors of coastal Maine cuisine in a progressive presentation, in a dining room focused on casual, comfortable elegance.

Really like the food. The breakfast is really nice and definitely worth the money. I would recommend getting the halwa puri which is only 5 quid and its filling.

Took my family members and friends for lunch after my sons birthday trampolin sesoon at Salt Hill Activity centre. The staff were helpful, and courteous and accommodated my group of 14. Everyone enjoyed the food and had a good time. Thank you Ali!
