Wonderful restaurant! I really enjoyed the service and the food here! It is a cozy restaurant with seating both indoor and outdoor. You can fit a party of about 8 comfortably, but I think it's more of a spot for smaller groups. I've heard wonderful things about their brunch, but I enjoyed there food during the dinner schedule!We had the asparagus salad, the onion soup, and their cod entree. All of which was amazing and definitely filling and well worth it!They also have a tasting menu where you're able to enjoy four appetizers and a main entree. So if you have the appetite that option may well be worth it. The service was extremely friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely eat here again!

I went to Salmigondis for MTLàTable and I was blown away: excellent service, food and ambiance. Our plates were very flavourful. You can tell they use quality products and that everything is fresh. It’s small and cozy. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth every penny. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal.

Super cozy, small, enclosed space. It has a great atmospheres for dates. The waiters are extremely nice, always willing to help and answer your questions. They have a great selection of wine, and the food was spot on. The gnocchi was so perfectly seasoned, flavourful and crunchy on the inside but soft on the inside, super filling despite the portion (it looks small). The beet salad was really good, and the dessert pie was amazing. My boyfriend had a beef cheek steak, and he loved it!

Dinner at Salmigondis was very good. Dining on the patio was a great way to end a long day of walking for us. The dishes were definitely unique and even good, though some elements seemed a little incongruous. The salmon tartare was wonderful, with a little bit of spice to it, and my oysters - two different kinds with 3 from the Îles de la Madeleine and 3 from New Brunswick - had a nice clean taste with only a hint of brine.My husband ordered the gnocchi which came par-boiled and seared - a preparation he wasn't expecting but found to be a pleasant change - but the sauerkraut he felt detracted from the overall flow of the dish. The mushrooms and hazelnuts, though, were a wonderful addition. My pasta - which was a coriander fettuccine with lobster, shaved asparagus, and mussels - had a fresh taste to it due to the coriander.The small chocolate pots de crème were a perfect end to the meal.Overall, we had a very good experience with Salmigondis.

Beautiful decor but food was left to be desired. We went for brunch on a recommendation and were sadly disappointed by the lack of flavour to the croque madame(too salty and not enough cheese) to the smoked potatoes( 1 or 2 is enough then the taste is unpleasant )Their doughnuts were dry and uninspiring.

I definitely recommend this place.The coffee is THE BEST I have tried.Try the salad with smoked Mackerel and poached egg.

Been here for brunch only - great menu for the cooler months, delicious hearty and heavy dishes. Surprisingly quite, and no queue, which is a huge bonus.

Four of us had a brunch there and couldn't decide who had picked the best choice, between the lobster Benedictine, the French toast, the standard breakfast with duck eggs or the veal cheek with chanterelles... It was a tie between the lobster and the veal...

Great lunch menu in a very cozy outdoor terrace with reasonable price. Worth the detour! Tried again for brunch, just great!!

This place is just awesome! The decor is brillant! It gives the restaurant a very unique vibe. There is a very cute terrace in the back, its very spacious and could accommodate around 30 ppl. The food presentation was good and the taste was even better, every course was cooked to perfection. I had the chance to meet the owner, she was warm and attentive with us the whole evening. The staff is very nice as well. I definetly recommend this place.

Amazing weekend brunch. The restaurant is nice and elegant. Prices are affordable. The best about the restaurant is the outdoor terrasse.

A perfect brunch at salmigondis' terrace. The Smoke Meat Benedict is amazing. Also the Croque Madame is to die for.

Absolutely the worst experience. Tables were not set, we were not given utensils, had to ask for bread 5 times, there was hair in one of the plates, the manager served bread with her hands and there was hair on the bread, ordered coffee and never got it. We had a resveration for 11 and was only served at 2pm. Cherry on top, food was not cooked well and I got food poisoning. When I told the manager, I was told it was my fault. Never in my life had I experienced such a bad manager who does not taken ownership. I have never experienced such bad service. Not to mention they were not accommodating with my vegan friend nor another friend who had allergies. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. Bad service, bad management, bad food.
