Nice places to swim and eat

I love the beaches on Salamis Island! The water is clear and beautiful! Highly salted seawater took my arthritic pain away. I recommend that if you go, bring water shoes as there are sea urchins on the sea floor. During the Summer Months you'll find beach restaurants providing umbrellas and lounge chairs for paying customers.We also visited the Historic St Mary's Monastery which was very nice. The inside of the Church was just absolutely beautiful! It's worth the visit. Across the way from the Monastery is the the Famous Poet's House; beautifully situated on the beach shore. Be cautious at night on this island, as there are wild dogs.

Pretty good even in the winter.

Salamina is a beautiful island, great food, good beaches and good people. Only one down side, garbage garbage garbage, the politicians need to do more to clean up this beautiful place. It is shameful and unacceptable the amount of garbage.

Best get away from the Venter of Athens close by and great beaches

Not a touristic island but good place for the inhabitants
