Great price for really good food. Service is just ok but it added to the experience.

Be prepared to wait. Put your name on the list and go get a beer somewhere. And when you get in prepare for the best izakaya you have ever had. Do not order the familiar. Go wild.

As a total novice in Japanese food, I would say to other novices that do try this place. However, be careful with what you ordered, may be ask the server about it. We ordered two items, one was great and other a complete disaster for us. Not because it was bad, but I wasn't accustomed to the test it offered. Otherwise very nice place, reasonable price and decent seating. In photo the non-disastrous dish and dessert (which was great too)

very nice place if you need some rest after see the play or show, super close to the Broadway and Time square. The yakitori is super authentic.

There is always a line in front of this place and when you take the first bite(after a 30-minute wait), you know why! The food is amazing, the drinks are great!Unlike the time you have to stand in line, the dishes are served fairly quickly. It is definitely a must go when you are in NY.

Pretty decent place and food at time square.I had salmon in teriyaki sauce under lunch set. It was good. I loved the sides they gave me with spinach kale and some yellow garlicky tasting paste.

Wonderful variety of sake. Not cheap. Affordable small plates. Great variety of food and drinks. They also carry Japanese beer and whiskey. Vibrant atmosphere. Will go back again!

A hidden gem in the City, delicious Japanese pub food at reasonable price. Premium location, highly recommended. It's obviously very popular so a wait is expected as the restaurant doesn't take reservations, you need to put the name and number down at the counter. We waited for about 30 mins and it was not even the peak dinner time yet. After the wait, the service was very quick and food was delivered so fast. We had Japanese BBQ, the chicken meat ball and beef were really good, then we had okonomiyaki and takoyaki, very yummy indeed. I tried the exotic sake, it felt a bit lemon flavour, quite enjoyed it.The highlight is the fish cake with red bean and green tea ice cream. It's quite hard to find authentic Japanese fish pastry with red bean paste. The restaurant is in basement so it can be a bit hot as the place is packed too. Be prepared to consume many drinks over your meal to stay hydrated.

Very nice and fune time. Nothing we ate stood out as amazing, but all was good and the prices are low. We sat at the bar, and the staff was friendly, but not the most helpful at navigating the sake menu. Still, overall it was a fun night and we would go back.

Great food and decent price. The wait can be pretty long so get there early and put your name down. I'm a big fan of the omelette over pork pan fried noodles, something unique that you can't really find at most Japanese restaurants. Although they have all types of food, their specialty rolls are quite good!

1. Service - Quick, friendly, & attentive.2. Taste of food and quality of food - One of the top three yakitori places in NYC. Not too salty.3. Ambiance/decor - Cozy with modern decor. Noisy when busy.4. Cleanliness - Looked & felt clean throughout.
