that was weird, we set on the bar and then they told us we have to move, so we were placed on a weird circular table on the side walk. we called the manager and the FBI so they brought us in and set us in separate tables so we won't speak. I called my sister to complain but she was a sleeep

Probably one of my favourite New York bars, whenever I'm in town I try to grab a couple of hours in here. Effortlessly cool, great selection of sake with tasty snacks to line your stomach. All put to a great soundtrack.

Intimate little underground sake bar. Really cool vibes, had major flashbacks to Japan. Wait staff super friendly and she price were pretty reasonable. Great pregame or late night spot!

Love the basement dungeon vibe and I would go again but the sake experience wasn't the greatest. We paid $30 a piece for 300 ml bottles that weren't anything to write home about and the "hot sake" was just a heated up sealed bottle.

Inside is bigger than it seems, seats relatively quickly even with a crowd since they try to get ppl to turnover their seats. Prices seemed reasonable for NYC (exp), large selection, average portion size. Overall an interestingly decorated place worth checking out that gets crowded

Speakeasy bar. I recommend it to go, once you are inside you can feel like if you are transported to a bar in japan, the place have a lot of sake options. I don’t recommend it to go with a big group because there is not a lot of space is very small so when I went there it was very crowded. Definitely is becoming very popular, I recommend you to, is one of my favorite bars to drink sake.

Nice hidden sake spot, yuzu sake was a good choice my friend got.

This is probably one of my favorite places in East village! The entire experience is amazing and just walking into the bar is a trip. You have to go downstairs through the bar, into another area that wraps around and finally reach the main room. The HUGE list of over 200 different sakes is amazing and the food was great. Very fast service and the ambience makes you feel like you are at a underground bar in Japan!!

Don't think I've ever been so transported back to Japan in North America. Such a cute spot that is great at what it does.

So many varieties of sake! Food is amazing and each portion is perfect for sharing. It does get quite busy at night and inside is quite noisy as everyone is talking to each other. Highly recommended and would love to come back again to try other types of sake.

Please DO NOT GO. Waiters grab you from behind if tip is not upto par, but guess what service is worst. I literally saw them warming up food in microwave, well blame me for going in.

Sake Bar Decibel is an amazing spot, downstairs off the street in the East Village. If you're into sake at all, or want to try some out, do yourself a favour and check this place out. Their sake list is extensive, and they have many Junmai Ginjo and Junmai Daiginjos (the two top levels of sake) available. They also serve their sake in the traditional method (with a glass cup inside of a wooden box, which they "over pour" into). Also, try out some of their food items, because they are incredible. We had the curry, and it was amazing.
