Hands down my go to spot for Vietnamese sandwiches! Their meatball is out of this world and their combo is usually stuffed with a ton of meat. They're still the most affordable and best bang for the buck Vietnamese sandwich in all of San Francisco, and possibly the greater Bay area. Drop by and support a local, small family business!

Old hole in the wall. There's two seats here if you want to eat there. Typically, when you come here, ask people in line if they ordered yet. The staff likes to take the orders of about 10 people, make their sandwiches, then you get and pay for your sandwiches, then they'll take the next 10 people. I've watched people wait in line behind people who didn't get out of the way after they ordered.

One of my favorite spots in town. Very filling. Cons: It's in the TL and CASH only.

I wish that such Sandwich shop would be in Springfield IL too. I loved it. The sandwiches are cheaper and a single is sufficient to fill the stomach. The blend of taste that they prepare is awesome.

significantly cheaper than other restaurants in SF area. They don't have tax either. Yay! I think its cash only but I'm not sure. I paid with cash regardless..Their main dish is Vietnamese Sandwich or banh mi. It. Was. Truly. Amazing. I ordered 2 sandwiches, the combination and the xiu mai (with additional pate). Both sandwiches were stuffed with the fillings! Their sandwiches basically consist of 3 main ingredients: the bun, the meat+pate, and the veggies. The bun was a little hard to bite, but the meat and veggies pretty much balance it off. The meat on combination was pretty good, while in xiu mai was a little bit dry (or maybe because I ate it for dinner instead of lunch). Their pate is the bomb!!! Their really generous in their fillings for the price. The pickled veggie? I love it! Adding the heat with jalapeno... that's food art right there. Overall: I love this place!! They provide really good food with affordable price.Recommended!

A neighborhood gem serving up what just might be the best banh mi in the city. Affordable and delicious Vietnamese hoagies. Usually a line but the ladies behind the counter making the sandwiches are masters at their craft so it moves quick. My favorite is the ham, fancy pork and pate combo. The flavors are authentic and the bread is solid. Perfect for when you need to satisfy your banh mi craving. Two baguettes up 🥖🥖

These ladies are so nice and they make delicious sandwiches super fast, so please tip them, because they deserve it. Please don't let the bad area scare you away just get your sandwiches and get out of this area.

Saigon Sandwich has the best banh mi I’ve ever had. Plus, it’s just $4 cash!! Some of the special ones are $5 but I only get the chicken banh mi here. They make it super fast and you can eat it while walking around the civic center/city hall area.Grab some sriracha before you go or squeeze it inside and then walk on! Sooooo juicy and delicious.
