Sacred Root Kava Lounge & Tea Bar

Wonderful teas and great selection of them, along with kava. Friendly staff and clientele. Quiet place to relax and socialize. Definitely worth a visit, as this place fits in perfectly with the culture of a place like Ithaca.

I love this place! It has great atmosphere, music, art, special events, a dance floor, Kava in flavors and great organic teas and tasty treats. The owners are awesome and the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you enjoy eclectic, artsy places with a cozy atmosphere.

Ithaca's best kept hipster secret. Underground tea bar, live music, poetry readings, group meetups, etc... All for super reasonable prices, and an amazingly comfortable atmoshpere

Great tea selection in this hidden gem of a lounge with musicians scheduled all week. Whether you hang out trying new teas or grab a lounge chair or sofa to chill, there will be plenty of spots to explore.

Such a chill vibe and kava is a lot of fun! Wish they would do Happy Hour prices all the time, as I think it would bring a lot more people in. The place always empties out immediately after it ends. All in all, one of my favorite spots in Ithaca!

Great events happening almost every night, lovely selection of tea and other treats if kava isn't your thing.

Great dance floor, Latin music and art work. I love the early dance hours. I can dance without feeling tired the next day.

What a wonderful cozy venue to relax, enjoy music, or just have a quiet conversation. Interesting decor with comfortable seating and various nooks for privacy. The venue is down a set of stairs right near the Ithaca Commons.

It was a really wonderful experience with an amazing knowledgeable "bar" host. I will be back for sure. I recommend mixing the coconut vanilla with the chocolate almond kava, amazing flavors. 🙂🙏❤
