Great food. Steak came nice and hot. Was still sizzling in my plate. Very nice restaurant. Big portions

I had lunch in a very deserted restaurant on New Year's Eve. Despite this, there was a wait to get a table as the staff was busy on the phone. This gives an unfortunate first impression. I picked the prix fixe menu, consisting of a soup or salad and 6 oz. steak with shrimps on top and a side or mashed potatoes or spinach. My choices were a seafood gumbo (tasty, but not the best) and a rare steak (cooked just right and very tasty) with mashed potatoes (also very tasty, but the amount of butter was a bit worrying. Service was good and friendly, if not as attentive as I'd expect in an empty restaurant. Cost around $42 including tax and a standard 20% tip, excluding drinks.

I've heard a lot about this chain but have never been. All I can say is it lived up to all of the hype. The selections of everything: steak, wine, appetizers, etc., was great. Our waiter was also a great help as well as he took great care of us.
