If you’re staying or visiting Rusutsu, go here! It was a great find on our last night in Rusutsu. It is reasonably priced with a great selection of local, fresh foods and an awesome list of craft brews. The service was great and the ambience was good.

Sakaba is a little more pricey than Yuchan just down the road, but the food is just as decent. Sakaba is good for big groups of 8 or more and offer a range of wine and beer. It is also the only place I found in Rusutsu that is vegetarian friendly. The winter salad came in a heaped bowl and had a big variety of ingredients ranging from the usual lettuce, carrots and tomatoes to mountain yam.

Delicious and authentic food. If you are in Rutsutsu you should take a walk and visit Sakaba as the food is excellent.

My time was short here yet very glad I finally made a visit. When arrived I was greeted by a modern and fresh approach on japanese food with some European roots and a relief that this actually existed in rusutsu. It's desperately been needed! Sakuba ticks all the boxes for fresh ingredients and preparation, cozy and comfortable modern interior and communicative friendly service. Sakuba has become a leader towards a new future for growing rusutsu. Will be back! ã”ã¡ãã†ã•ã¾ã§ã—ãŸ

Open kitchen, quality food, attentive proprietor.Good Craft beer selection.Best food we have eaten in Rusutsu so far. Try the cheese spring rolls - delicious. Miso pork ribs also great. Atmosphere casual and relaxed. We sat around for a few rounds after dinner having a few more of the craft beers.

Hands down the best seafood in town. You get much better sashimi at half the price compared to places across the road. Try anything on the blackboard - items change every couple of days. Highly recommended! The lunch menu (before 14:30 - there is a break from 15:00 to 17:00) is different from the dinner menu and consists of non-seafood dishes. Lunch items are excellent, too!
