Very pretty airport. White rocky chairs all over which is so comfy.A lot of variety of food. Chargers everywhere.Beware that it is big and may take 10-15 minutes to go to another terminal if you have a connecting flight.

Really nice staff! BUT!!, Questionable restrooms w no seat covers! All yogurts at 1 store were expired by 21 days, and at 1 of the restaurants, ther was a cockroach in between the glass and the cold line. Needless to say i left here really hungry!

I can't thank the employees who assisted my husband enough. We were amazed at the size of the airport and had not booked a wheelchair for my husband. He began huffing and puffing trying to make our connection. A young employee assisted him got him into a wheelchair and began taking us to the plane after she made sure he was ok to continue. A second girl arrived and took over pushing the chair. Kierra and Destiny you are true heroes we would have missed our flight at best or had a medical emergency at worst without your help. The girls also notified American Airlines that we would need assistance on the rest of our trip and a chair was waiting for us in Miami.

Airport design by a five year old. Narrow and inefficient. I fly through tons of airports, this is in the bottom 5

Enjoy this airport after security check point sometimes it’s overly busy at security. Should move the smoking area as well once you step out on a hot day you get blasted by the smell of cigarette it’s gross and I’m actually a smoker.

Terminal C to E is a serious walk but you will not be bored. Shops and restaurants everywhere.

This airport is very beautiful and modern. It’s easy to walk through the gates because there are plenty of moving sidewalks. Great experience!

*15 min on the tarmac every time* No smoking area once your past security so if your connecting forget about it. Your waiting.*Connecting flight gates are always very far apart. Unless you have a long layover prepare to run.*Once you get to your gate if you have a long layover good luck finding an outlet. Not too many.* Shopping and food are decent. WiFi is great. But that's not enough to make a good airport. If I can pay more to connect elsewhere I always do! Frustrating for an international airport. Aren't these no brainers??!

The airport is making upgrades and it effects the flow of everything, however, everyone that I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. I flew American Airlines and this was where most of the renovations I saw was occurring. But overall was ah great trip and experience flying out of Charlotte. 02-01-2019

Worst night spent at an airport.I arrived from an international flight late one evening and after going trough immigration and customs I attempted to go to my connecting gate for my 6 AM flight home. Since you must go through security again after arriving international, the security agents said that my flight was next morning and would not let me in to the secure areas. All food stores were closed. I was cold and did not have my carry-on bag, totally my fault. Not many outlets to charge a phone. There were people sleeping on the floor all over, and this is the terminal side, unsecured area of the airport. I did not go to a hotel because it was only a few hours that I needed to be there.Apparently connecting passengers are not a priority at this place. Thank God I did not have children with me..This is supposed to be an “International Airport, a Hub, a World Class US airport” well, it is not. I now avoid going there if possible. One bad impression for sure.

I live in Charlotte and as an essential worker I travel through the airport twice a week. Every single week a new checkpoint is the only checkpoint open. No signage. No nothing to help travelers. Tonight, there wasn’t even a sign as to which exit was open. Only 1. D. Is it too much to ask that you put up some temporary signage?

I have always had fabulous service and communication when traveling though the Charlotte Douglas Airport. As there is usually a wait between flight I enjoy to people watch, but today my attention was drawn to the gentleman at the ticketing desk, as an elderly couple slightly frantic " can we sit together" she ask about 3 times as she held on to her parters arm, Alex said "yes ma'am you sure can", with surprise she said " we can?" Alex replied " we got you covered". This is so assuring to know that when our parents (and it very well could have been my very own ) are traveling alone Alex has got them covered. Alex showed true respect and reassuring care. Thanks Alex. Event date 5/19/2020 at Gate E12. Please recognize Alex with the group.
